They charged my bank account more money than my room charge. They call the charge "extended rate & check out early" in the amount of $88.40. My brother stayed the same time, checked out early and was not charged "check out early fee" and was given a refund. This is discrimination and bad business practice. I have tried several times to convince them they owe me a refund. Last visit the manager refused to discuss it stating they did not owe me refund, told me to leave and not to return.

Not sure how this Super 8 has a 4 star rating, I think sleeping in my car would have been better. We booked here due to the price and location, but will do better research in the future. The entire property is dated, dirty and run down, including the parking lot, the lobby, the hallway and room. Upon arrival I immediately wished I could have cancelled my reservation. The area is sketchy and there are people living in their cars in the parking lot. The lobby smells strongly of curry. There was no one at the front desk, so we rang the bell and a woman with her baby in a stroller appeared and checked us in. This place looks like it’s falling apart. The first-floor hallway has a leaking pipe from the ceiling. You have to shimmy around the garbage can placed below to collect the dripping water. The room is dated, there is no fridge, and the door didn’t always close securely. The wash cloth I used appeared to be dirty or stained, the bedding looked worn, dirty and had holes. There was a French fry left behind from previous guests, so rooms aren’t cleaned very well. The shower drain is extremely slow. Because of the condition of the property, we decided not to have the free breakfast. I’m thankful we only stayed one night.

I have no idea how this place has a 4.5 star rating. First, my boyfriend arrived 20 min before me and although his name was not on ANYTHING they gave him the room keys. All he had to give them was my name. He don't even have to give my license plate number. They had nothing other than his word that he was affiliated with me. In fact, I never had to check in with the front desk at all. As a woman, this is terrifying. Then bedding was soiled when we checked in. There were bugs along the wall in the bathroom. There was a poop stain (I hope that's what it was) on the ceiling. There was no water pressure in the shower at all. I had to practically run circles under the show to get wet. They gave us 2 towels for 2 adults and then charged $3 for each additional towel. I'm diabetic and there included breakfast (the main factor for me booking the room) did not include anything I could eat. It was literally all carbs and sugar! No eggs. No meats. It was waffles, sugar coated cereal, toast, bagels, chocolate muffins, yogurt which included 40g sugar each, and bananas (high on the glycemic index). So after booking this specific hotel for the included breakfast, I had to go buy breakfast anyway. But wait, there's more! When I complained about them giving my hotel key to a man without calling to notify me or making him wait until I got there....the staff didn't even speak English! Oh and the A/C didn't work because they apparently never clean the filters for it.

When I went to check in, the man on the reception couldn't understand me. I speak English very clearly... He didn't. His boss came and sorted it out. Then advised me I had been charged twice. He did fix it. The room was smelly, luckily we could open the window and let some fresh air in. The sheets and quilt cover had many holes in them. They were that thin I could see all the stains in the mattress protector. The hallway smelled of curry. The Continental breakfast was very basic. I would never stay here again.

This hotel was mediocre at best. Check-in was ok, the rooms are small, we asked for an additional sitting chair and were told no (with a head shake) by the gentleman working the front desk. The bed was too high for me to get on without a little jump, the shower had no water pressure, the carpets were dingy, and we didn't' have a fridge in our room, even though we were told it was in the cabinet that was actually dresser drawers. We were on the ground level and when we opened our curtains, our screen was broken in an attempt to be pried off, and hadn't been repaired. The best thing I can say about this place is that the location is great; there are restaurants near it, and a residential area on the other side, which kept it pretty quiet.

It’s a Good value, and we had a pleasant stay. The staff was accommodating and polite. Nothing too fancy, the only thing was the overwhelming smell of cleaning products. The property was very close to grocery shopping and restaurants. We we’re taking the Royal Gorge Train trip and the property was conveniently close.

The room was a bit shabby and uncared for, but it was clean and the bedding was lovely (as was the bed). A bit out of town and away from restaurants, but breakfast was very good and Canon City is a nice little town.

We had 2 rooms for our family vacation, passing thru Canon City. A very clean hotel, no smoke or pet smells, friendly staff, updated rooms, AC works well, good breakfast choices. Didn't see many recent reviews, so was a little hesitant, but overall experience was great!!

It is an older hotel no frills but all the necessities. It was a decent stay. The mattress was very comfortable. Unfortunately they do not offer hot breakfast. The location is pretty convenient to all Canon has to offer .
