There is something going on at this property. I have stayed there a ton as my daughter is in her fourth year at HPU. The rooms and carpet in halls have a very musty smell. It has been getting worse. They really need to address.

This is hard if you do not have a car, the building is OLD it needs a facelift.
It was clean.

We were very pleased with the size of the room and the cleanliness of the room. Bed was very comfortable. We stayed on the second floor, and thankful for an elevator instead of stairs!! :)

Second visit
This stay was not as good as my previous one. The first time, I must have been given a better room. While I wasn’t expecting anything high-end, this time around the room was in noticeably worse condition. The shower was dirty, with hair on the floor, mold in the caulking, and grout that clearly needed attention. The walls looked like they were falling apart and the whole space could use a deep cleaning. The closet is also in poor shape, with loose screws, and the curtains were stained. To make things less convenient, rooms are only cleaned every three days, so you have to request towels.
On the positive side, the lobby is well-kept and the staff are genuinely kind and accommodating.

Flexibility with deposit with extensions deposits are annoying and they tie our money up esp if you’ve stayed at other hotels and are from a different state . It takes a second for them to take it but a week to give it back and some of these deposits are outrageous esp when you’ve paid for the room up front . So I’ll always value fairness and people being human in their understanding .

Had roaches. Notified front desk & they wanted to put us in a different room. Really just so they could follow us in there.

When entering building the lobby smelled like cigarette smoke. I arrived at 9am to check in an was told I check in was at 3 pm. I was in town traveling and had worked overnight so told the clerk I would have to cancel. Clerk allowed me to check in. When I got to room there was a lighter in bed when I pulled back comforter. Hallways smelled like cigarettes.

Great hotel!
One of the nicest and most peaceful we can get away trip we’ve had in a while. All kinds of food options gas stations anything you can need immediate area but still quiet enough to feel like you’re on vacation.

So I’ve stayed here for a month total now for work. After the first 2 weeks everything had been great. I left good reviews and everything. Now when I checked back into a new room I was asked about a deposit and after mentioning that this is the first I’ve heard of it I was told not to worry about it that they won’t charge it. Well then after 1 week into a 2 week stay I wake up to see that the hotel had went ahead and charged me the deposit over night. When I brought it up the staff said they would talk to their manager and I never heard another word about it. I also told the front desk staff that my smoke detector had been beeping extremely loud and I couldn’t sleep and they never came to do anything about it. Everything else was fine, my only complaint is with the front desk staff
