We've been to Holy Island but never visited this hotel which is strange as it's just across the way from where we usually stay. We popped in for a coffee with our Lab, Belle during our overnight stay on the Island and enjoyed one of the nicest coffee's we've ever had. The staff were great, nice and chatty and the seats we chose to sit in were so comfortable spending an hour or so enjoying the views. After we finished we went for a short walk around the village but decided to go back for lunch an hour or so later. Their is a very good menu and my wife chose the potato & leek soup and I had a fish finger sandwich with a bowl of chips to share between us, plus a pint of Guinness for me and iced water for the Mrs. The food was well presented, nice and hot with very good sized portions and oh so tasty! The girl who served us made a fuss of Belle, who loves nothing more that to be pampered by anyone she meets and she ended up being fed sausages courtesy of the girl and the chef! We finished our meals, paid the bill which was very reasonable and said our goodbyes... Would we go back... Yes, absolutely, we're already making plans to stay there next year!

We came here paid 195 pounds per night the pros, the food was excellent rooms spotless, service IN DAY GOOD, However, 195 quid a night bar closed at 9.30 pm despite licence running till 12 when we all complained we were gaslit into fealing guilty that the young girl who'd been working was tired, fine but as a hotelier myself if she's tired the resident staff run the bar and license till close and discharge the younger I do not expect to be gaslit when challenging this or to be acused of frightening a young girl that is despicable I'm on full cctv and if a staff member canot deal or tolerate a fair complaint she's unfit to run a public bar, on the whole trapped on an island with nowhere else to go I have spent close on a thousand pounds in food wine and rooms this level of so called hospitality is unacceptable the shutting of a public bar on a Friday night at 9.30 unacceptable totally unacceptable for the money paid in my day I'd discharge staff and run bar to close myself as a resident staff member in one word UNACCEPTABLE AND A RIP OFF AND TO BE QUITE HONEST AS A BLOODY GOOD HOTELIER MYSELF WHOSE BAR RUNS TIL ONE AS A LICENSEE IT'S IDLENESS, BE VERY WARY OF STAYING HERE AS THE COSTS DO NOT MATCH THE AMENITIES ADVERTISED NEEDLESS TO SAY I WILL BE COMPLAINING ON THE SEVEREST TERMS TO THE PUB CHAIN THAT OWNS IT!!!!!!

Lovely new year stay at this hotel. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, they really made it. The food was outstanding and greatly exceeded our expectations. Compliments to the chef. The hotel is clean, and in an excellent position to view the beauty of the island. The New Year’s Eve meal was a lovely occasion and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Paid £714.57 for 3 nights stay B&B, no tv remote control in room 10 and no spare remote control available. Reception checked 2 empty rooms and no tv remote control in there either. Be warned, it’s a long dark night in November with tv for no entertainment.

Was a bit unsure what to expect reading some of the reviews at this hotel. Just returned and can honestly say we had a fabulous stay. Warm, comfy room, plenty refreshments, nice toiletries, super friendly staff and an amazing breakfast. Perfect place to stay to explore this magical island.

Could not get a better location overlooking the priory and church, Lindisfarne castle in the background. Parking a bit tight but this is the same throughout the island. Room was clean, tidy. Staff excellent and very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was amazing. Would definitely stay here again. As all places on the island, if you want to eat there, book.
