I let the hotel know I’d be arriving early days in advance, but front desk was surprised to receive me even though my file had the note “early arrival.” My wife and I had two luggage pieces, one of which was 60 lbs, and, to my surprise, there was no one to help. The woman at the front desk offered, but I could see that the bag was too heavy for her to lift. Your team realized that our room’s TV didn’t work. In response, both the woman from the front and a maid came into our room 10 or so times over the course of 30 minutes to get it to work. They left and I opened my laptop for my upcoming meetings, but the internet didn’t work. The woman from the front told me, “that has never happened before”—the most useless customer service. She offered me to work in another room where the reception was better, but when we got there, it still wasn’t cleaned. Meanwhile my wife was getting lunch at the bar, and a server approached her and randomly gave her a chocolate croissant. I believe this was left over from tea time. When she finished the croissant, he asked her if she wanted dessert. Very confusing series of events. The refrigerator in our room was not functioning at all, the room was boiling hot no matter what, even with AC on and it’s 0ºF outside. No matter where we were in the hotel, your valet guy was lurking like a creep. To top it all off, at 1 am, a drunk elderly lady is violently trying to enter our room, swearing that this is her room and that she left her tin of candy in it. Truly unbelievable. In the morning, I used the valet app to get my car. Got downstairs and the man at the front desk said I have to go get my car myself—your valet person doesn't work weekends. Moreover, the coffee at the continental breakfast was cold even though it was in a thermos. Like how? At that point, I relayed our experience to the front desk, and he thanked me for telling him as if I was sharing a cool piece of trivia. He neither offered me a discount on our current stay nor a future one. To be honest, you owe me money. We paid full price and got barely anything one would expect at a boutique hotel, no less a regular hotel, in return. Your hotel is an actual nightmare and we would never return. All your personnel are untrained except the bartender and every amenity and service is a unsuccessful facade.
