No hot water at all. Room was dirty and needed repairs. Blankets/bed was dirty with many stains. Very uncomfortable.

Breakfast menu was okay the fruit was not fresh and possibly was going bad, My water did have something floating around in it and the omelet and potatoes was okay despite salt n pepper being present the food needed more flavor and seasoning. The Staff was very nice and polite I loved how Clean the room was.

We always stay at The Fontaine when in Kansas City because we love it.
This time the front desk and housekeeping fell far short of expectations.
We checked in to Room 307 Friday and noticed less than half a roll of toilet paper and an almost empty Kleenex box.
On our way to dinner, I stopped at the front desk and ask that both be delivered to our room.
They never were.
The next morning, housekeeping refilled the Kleenex but still not the toilet paper. We had to track down a housekeeping cart to get one.
Why aren’t there extra toilet paper rolls in every room, all the time?
No one likes toilet paper anxiety.

I'm not much of a breakfast eater, but I don't remember its being free the two times I had it. I did like the lunch/dinner menu quite a bit, and the room itself is very nice. I enjoyed the bar and the bartenders, all very personable and pleasant. I wish the hotel were closer to the Plaza than it turned out to be -- a bit of a hike for the mobility impaired!

They told me my room had a pipe problem and they had nowhere there for me to stay but would put me in another hotel that was not very nice .. they refused to move my sister who also had a room there so we’d be staying together but it would cost them more and we’d have to pay the extra price… very rude .. I had to find us a new room at a better hotel and pay more because it was last minute .. will never book a reservation there again
