Pretty mediocre hotel with a very cramped and poorly laid out room. Glad I only had one night. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the front desk staff was helpful, but the room itself was pretty disappointing. Super glad not to pay full price - thanks Trip Advisor for making it more affordable. Still poor value for the price.

Got there and had to walk from ferry to Orca close to a mile uphill. We did that a lot! Place is clean. Rooms are barracks used for people who worked on the Alaska pipelines in the late 80’s. Beds were comfortable. Each bed had its own shower, toilet, and vanity sink. Kind of weird but nice. Bare bones. Coffee was provided but wasn’t ready until after 8am. We went out to find coffee earlier.

Look at their website and you'll get a clue...18 pictures of the reception desk, 20 pictures of flowers and planting outside. The rooms are tiny and ill-equipped. My double room had two double beds and a chair. No desk, just a wooden chair. No breakfast, free or otherwise, just "I put out coffee when I get in at 9:00." When I told them my traveling partner couldn't come because of a head injury in an accident they would not let me down grade to a single, saying none were available, although the parking lot certainly indicated otherwise. The dining or social space they talk about is in the parking lot! Cost of this fun..$267 for one night. The space and facilities were clean. The bed was comfortable. The A/C worked. That's it.

Second time staying at the Orca Inn. This is a no frills hotel and is easily the best value on the island. Check-in was smooth, rooms were clean, the area was quiet, and everything you'd want to see in Friday Harbor was within walking distance. I hope they never get bought out, this is officially our go to hotel for Friday Harbor!

It was very clean and comfortable. We were in a double queen bed room, which was actually two rooms combined in one. Each had a toilet and shower on one side and a sink vanity closet combination. My daughter and I loved the extra bathroom. There’s a fridge and microwave, but the only place to eat and drink was sitting in bed. There were bathroom amenities but no hairdryer. It was very affordable comparing with other properties price wise. There’s a bakery 450 ft away and town is about a 12 minute walk.

This is a great little inn with a rich history. The beds are comfortable and the king room is very spacious. Large bath with microwave and fridge. Easy parking, friendly and accommodating staff. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. Great location away from the bustle so it is quiet yet conveniently located for other resources.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Please do not risk it. I left a review here 3 weeks ago regarding a bedbug infestation in room 615. From other reviews, this is definitely not the only room infested. We found bedbugs within an hour of being in the room and ended up bagging up all our belongings and sleeping in the car. Bedbugs are notoriously good at hiding and not being seen. The fact that we saw them within an hour of being in the room and before we fell asleep indicates that this is a large infestation, and I believe the Inn has (and is) aware of this. It is irresponsible for this inn to continue to rent out rooms where there is a clear bedbug infestation. This is not an infestation that can be treated one and done, they need to shut these rooms down for months of treatment to get rid of this infestation. Despite my best efforts to prevent any bedbugs from making their way back with me, I have found three since returning home (3 weeks ago). The treatments are estimated to cost at least $1200-$2000 to exterminate these from my home. The one hour I spent at this inn is completely to blame for this cost. Bedbugs are no joke, and this has taken over my life at the moment. Please, save yourself thousands of dollars and stay somewhere else!

Do not stay in this place. The service and management is beyond patronizing and will not care about any of your needs. You will easily be able to find a different accommodation for the same price level but with better management. If you do book, make sure to find out which building you are because half of the hotel is facing the parking lot of a grocery store and you won’t be able to sleep at night. At all. And I’m not a light sleeper. I am running a hotel myself and was nothing but shocked how I was treated.
