We specifically chose this property because it was not in the heart of the town and would be quieter. Was not the case at all!! The walls are thin and sleeping was difficult. Other guests on multiple occasions were loud and inconsiderate. Dogs barking at all hours. Arguing. Slamming doors. Screaming children. So much noise at ungodly hours!! Reported to the front desk twice. They did their best but the guests staying there had zero consideration for others. Breakfast was not good. Thankfully the room had a large refrigerator & we made a trip to the grocery store to purchase better options. Hindsight being what it is, I’d stay in town bc no way with how early everything shuts down would the noise be worse than what we experienced. And, you’d save a ton in parking fees since everything would be more easily walkable.

Largely our stay was fine. The room itself was nicer than the outside of the building would have lead you to believe. One thing that was annoying was that when checking in we were given pretty much zero information about the facilities...no wifi password or information, nothing about breakfast, etc. These are small things that set establishments like this apart from somewhere else. Would I recommend this place over somewhere else in Helen, GA? I don't know, I have a feeling that this is pretty much indicative of all non-cabin/air B&B stays in the area.

This motel is in the old-style motel format, with the room door opening the the outside. However the management had done a decent job of updating the rooms. Still, room felt stuffy. My biggest peeve was that the mattress pad contains a layer of plastic, which (for me) made the sleeping experience uncomfortable.
