Breakfast had a variety of items, from bananas and oatmeal to pancakes, eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy. Cold cereal had varieties for kids, as well as muffins or granola. Yogurt even available for light fare.

BW of WISE
This was my first time staying at Best Western of Wise, VA. The staff members I met were very nice. My room was comfortable, clean, well lit with a large window wall and easily adjustable blinds. Air conditioning kept the room at a pleasant temperature. The breakfast area offered a variety of hot foods (scrambled eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, pancake making machine), and cold foods (cereal, yogurt, bread and bagels).
My only complaint was that the pool was out of service (under reconstruction until January 2026).
Also on Sunday, I had left a note for housekeeping for restock of coffee, hot cups, toilet paper. It was obvious that my room had no services that day.

Checkin was good. While walking to room we noticed it being remarkably warm. We entered our room and it was horribly warm. Immediately turned on air, but it will not stay running. It stops and hums. Its so warm we cant get comfortable. I went in to get a shower and turned the water to hot. Literally let it run for over 10 min. Cold!!! Told my husband to call the front desk and ask about water. He came in laughing and shaking his head. The phone doesnt work. Ughhh Went to shut off, and felt a temp change. The cold setting is the hot water.
We used $103 dollars of my ******* money or I would definitely go down and complain
I dont like to gripe, but thos room is a miserable hot box. Also walked down to mcdonals and came back through pool room. It was closed and was completely tore apart with boxes and working material. We have stayed here before & never had these issues. Probably our last stay sadly

Very nice
They were super nice, the room was very clean, bed was very comfortable. Cant rate the breakfast because we left before it started. No complaints, even my grumpy father told me it was nice and he slept well.

Called before hand and confirmed we were coming but it would be a late check in. The woman at the desk said that was fine…when we arrived we were made aware that we had been marked as a no show and our room was sold. They had no extra rooms nor did surrounding hotels so we had to travel even further for somewhere to stay. Definitely not a good experience especially when we booked this hotel days in advance.

Terrible beds
The room and facilities were fine. The bed was like sleeping on the floor. Very hard and not comfortable at all.

Pool is closed. Hours of breakfast are too restrictive. Will never stay there again, recommend finding another motel to stay in. Never refreshed the room. Had to ask for more coffee for the room, coffee was not provided after first morning.

The Best Western is about what I expected as far as the condition. It was a bit more dated in some areas that could be easily fixed, like the shower curtain. The beds were comfortable and it was relatively clean, but my room had a very heavy smell of smoke and only one wash cloth. Overall- about what I expected for the price.

Bugs in room
We had late check-in & the guy at the front desk was great! Our TV wouldn't work so he came in to help, once that was corrected I turned around & there was a cockroach walking across the pillow. We picked up our stuff & left the hotel. Had to find another place at 1:30AM & then had to pay double. So pretty much a terrible experience.
