Carrie and Brian are the most fantastic hosts. The inn is a gem, with a lot of beautiful and corny things. I wish we had stayed longer, but we'll be back. Jonas Larsson

The GG is the perfect place to stay in Walla Walla! Karrie is an exceptionally welcoming and generous host who truly goes above and beyond to make her guests feel comfortable. The house is fascinating to explore, with cozy garden and patio areas and very relaxing guest rooms. Karrie arranged amazing winery tours and a delightful picnic lunch for us. The neighborhood is quiet, charming, and just a short stroll from downtown. Our stay was absolutely lovely — we highly recommend the GG!

Terrific place. The proprietress, Karrie, is amazing. In addition to having a sunny personality, she has filled this big beautiful old house with so many interesting things, including her collection of Louis Vuitton trunks. Her breakfasts are excellent. She also took us on a day long tour of Walla Walla, including a great winery, fun brewery, and the park with the aviary in Walla Walla. And a tip to visit the Walla Walla Cheese Company in Milton Freewater, which we did the next day. Plus, she was able to make us reservations at restaurants that she picked, which were great to outstanding. Altogether, the best bed-and-breakfast we’ve ever been to.

The GG is more than an inn; it is a curated experience. From the moment you arrive, Karrie is the consummate host. We visited for a birthday weekend and Karrie recommended two excellent winery excursions and made dinner reservations. The garden is a beautiful space to relax, read, and visit. I cannot say enough positive things.

We had the opportunity to go to the GG in October to experience the Fall and local wineries. Karrie reached out to assist in booking several exclusive wine tastings and made dinner reservations one she understood our preferences. She inquired about any special needs and she had comfort items ready in our room upon arrival. The home was inviting, warm and endless ecclectic and artistic touches everywhere. Our room was cozy with a comfortable bed and pillows, mini friedge, high end linens, Nespresso and many more special touches. The owners and hosts are well established in the community and had an extensive knowledge of the area, food and wine offerings and they went our of their way to greet and care for all of their guests. Our stay at the GG was fantastic because of the care our hosts offered during our stay and I highly recommend.

This is a beautiful B&B in a quiet neighborhood, and an easy walk to the downtown restaurants and shopping. The owners, Karrie and Connie, were so welcoming and made us feel at home. The decor is a combination of European designer pieces and fun artwork, which was fun to admire and speak with the owners about. Highly, highly recommend!!!

My wife, Lily, and I finally vacationed in Walla Walla to enjoy the amazing regional wines for her birthday week. We smartly chose to stay at the GG! Karrie, the owner, innkeeper extraordinaire, chef, driver, travel agent, and woman known about town, must have spent no fewer than 40 hours planning and taking care of us. She booked us in the LV suite with fine linens, pillows, towels, robes, and bath products surrounded by tasteful antiques and a balcony looking over some of her gardens. The quiet and romantic setting created a perfect getaway for us. We enjoyed breakfast on the front porch with fresh-pressed coffee, homemade local berry scones. In four wonderful days, Karrie introduced us to each of the 6 wine regions! Just off the plan in Walla Walla, we started in the Airport District. The GG is a short walk from the Downtown District where we dined each evening in a gastronomic delight of restaurants and flavors and wines of course. Karrie packed lunches for us with private reservations of some of the finest wineries. We experienced the regional “terroirs” of the Districts in the Westside, Southside, the Rocks of Milton-Freewater AVA in Oregon, and finally on the Westside before heading back to the airport. She privately engaged us with local artists and the winemakers with private tours. This may sound busy, but the experience was relaxing and memorable. Walla Walla is a must for wine lovers, but Karrie made all the difference in creating a tailor-made holiday for us Texans! Patrick Choosing to stay at the GG netted us a highly personalized first visit to Walla Walla. Karrie went to great lengths to ensure our experience was superiorly comfortable and she homed in on our preferences and desires to elevate and enhance our “jouissance” in delectable wines and exceptional dining experiences. The home, nestled on a shady tree-lined street, beckoned for strolls after breakfast or a quick walk to town to visit Walla Walla’s finest shops. La vie est bonne! Lily

The GG is The Place to Stay in Walla Walla. We have stayed here many times when our son was at Whitman and on various trips to go biking and wine-tasting. This fine old mansion is located two blocks from campus in a lovely old part of Walla Walls. The large porch wrapping around two sides of the home and the shaded lawn are wonderfully set up for lounging after a day of activity. In nice weather, breakfast can be taken on the porch. The new owner has brought an artistic flair to the refurbishing of the mansion while still providing comfortable common spaces to enjoy. We like the suites for the extra sitting area and private porches, but have also found the other rooms quite comfortable. We also enjoyed the Marcus Whitman for its historic lobby, bar and restaurant, but it is more the hotel experience. There is something special about coming to this B&B surrounded by grand old trees planted in the late 19th century and other fine old homes.

The room was very comfortable and cozy and cool. The location is perfect for Whitman College especially in a nice quiet neighborhood. We would definitely recommend and stay again!
