Magnus grand hotel is a great option to stay if you need to be in Tyler for a couple of days. Affordable and acceptable. The shower works fine but don’t expect a big shower. Breakfast isn’t very good but there is breakfast every day. The AC works fine and the room is spacious and has everything you need. If you are looking for a high end experience go somewhere else. But if you just need to have the basics covered this is the place for you.

The room was neglected. It lacked toilet paper and tissues, a light bulb on a nightstand, and clothes hangers. There was no hot (or warm) water. The floors and walls were dirty. We requested these items at the front desk with a kind lady, but no one showed up.
We requested the desk chair, and it was provided, although it was inadequate.
We stayed only one night, instead of the two we had paid for. The entrance door broke down in the morning, and we couldn't close it at all. We left and never fulfilled the second night.
It is not a good reputation for ******* to advertise the Magnuson Grand Hotel and Conference Center as a four-star facility at the price of a reputable hotel.

When we got there after being told over the phone 3 times we could check in early we was denied. Once check in hit we had no hot water until the next day. They refused to give a refund or place us somewhere else. There was dead roaches in our room and as well as a receipt between the head board and mattress of the bed that was dated 9/13/2025. They was asked to come back and clean our room but only half way cleaned it

After several less than plesant experiences at this hotel, i am pleseantly surprised with this stay. The room is immaculate and smelled freshly cleaned. Friendly staff at check in. Looks like the new manager has them rounding the corner

I was charged for a broken bed that was broke when I checked in. Not to mention the fridge was frozen solid. I told the front desk, we said he would have it handled the person who handled thought it a good idea to just open the door to let it thaw out.

Much cleaner and more modern inside than it appears on the outside. Worth the $, very reasonable rate

Room was dirty. Non English speaking workers. Couch dirty. People looked like they were in poverty! Broke down vehicles. Roaches behind refrigerator. Trash in sofa coach. Big pitbull running around that lives with the people staying there. No ice. No breakfast. Next room kids running in our room. Shopping buggy with rags on it. Awful GHETTO PLACE! DO NOT GO THERE!!!! I’m not from Texas was just an out of town stay. NEVER EVERRRRRRRR AGAIN!
