The room itself was kind-of clean. The bathroom tile could have been scrubbed. No working fan in bathroom, but a window opened. Toilet wobbled. Walls thin, you could hear the kids in the room next to us. Had a nice small fridge and microwave near a small table. Blinds were new and clean. Exterior of building needed TLC. Peeling paint on doors. Old benches. There were ashtrays outside of every room. Landscaping was full of weeds. Continental breakfast was full of sugary carbs. Would not return nor recommend.

As we were approaching Erie from the west we found this nice motel. The spacious room was clean and tidy (as was the bathroom) and included a nice couch. We slept very well on a large, comfortable bed. Breakfast was included in the excellent price, but we chose to visit Krispy Kreme instead (a rare treat for us). The exterior could use some painting and TLC, but we were pleased with the value received and would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were adequate for an overnight stay. They could have been cleaner and needed some updating with paint. The sheets had pillings. Overall I thought the price was high for this motel, even for a Saturday night in August.

We have stated at the Glass House Inn mumerouis times since moving 19 years ago. It's a quaint motel ih the heart of Millcreek Twp to the west of the city of Erie. It is very conveient for us since we usually spend most of our time within 10-15 miles of the motel. The rooms has been updated a few years ago which is good, but they definitely need new mattresses.....too too soft. Otherwise we had everything we needed including a great free breakfast which had been improved since we last stayed there with more items to choose from including waffles. Breakfast items were filled in as time went on. Cozy room to eat in. I will say the appearace of the motel could be improved by caring for he landscapeing and triming bushes and having their large Glass House sign in the front improved or replaced. There was a snowblower laying between the bushes. This owners have done a good job of maintaining the property since the former owners who we knew personally. Definitely a great location close to Presque Isle, Lake Erie beaches and Waldermeer for a resonable price. They do fill up during the summer and fall.

Good location with ground floor rooms right next to your car. Updated and clean with nice clientele and pretty landscaping. Internet was good, lots of lighting, great A/C, nice towels, decent bed and shower. Breakfast not my thing but people were making good use of the waffles, muffins, fruit, juice, and cereal. Coffee is too weak for me so I went elsewhere. Tap water tasted fine to drink. Swimming pool nice for lounging, not laps. Plenty of chaise lounges and warm pool temperature. Was glad I had earplugs and my white noise machine as there was a furious toddler nextdoor screaming for hours rather late. Have visited before and would again.

Had a great stay! The room was clean, and I felt safe throughout my visit. The gentleman and lady at the front office were very kind and gave me great recommendations for local restaurants. Parking was perfect, and the remodeled rooms were really nice. Breakfast in the lobby had a great selection, with lots of delicious fresh fruit. The only issue was that dogs from a nearby neighborhood barked like crazy until about 11 PM and started up again around 6 AM, which made it a little tough to sleep. Other than that, it was a good experience, and I would stay again!

We wanted to make a short trip to Erie from Pittsburgh just to explore the town and chose Glass House based on price and location, an easy couple of minutes drive to Presque Isle and downtown Erie. We definitely made the right choice. The room was very clean and pretty, the bed was comfortable, the grounds were immaculate, there was a gazebo to sit and talk and it was very hot so I sat poolside with my legs in the water, which was clean and clear. In the morning we went to the dining room for a simple do-it-yourself breakfast of cereal and milk. They also offered granola bars, mini donuts, bananas and of course coffee and tea. This is a small hotel which offers just the basics but it was just enough for us. Heck they even have screen doors on the rooms which felt very small town friendly. I found it charming and will stay again next time we visit Erie.

I see several negative reviews here, amongst a large number of very positive reviews. My opinion is with the positive ones. We stayed at many hotels on a lengthy road trip; this is one of the few I have chosen to review. If you are looking for 5-star luxury, then book one of those hotels. This is one of the VERY BEST "budget" hotels you are likely to find. It was clean, comfortable, and the hosts were great. The breakfast was nothing special, but completely adequate. I felt welcomed and happy staying the night here. One reviewer said, "You get what you pay for." I would say that here, you get more than what you pay for. I would stay here again, in a heartbeat.

Everyone at the Glass Inn was very professional, pleasant, and very helpful with everything during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel. It has been beautifully renovated. The room was clean, beds were very comfortable and the pillows were the best I ever experienced at any hotel. There were convenient QR codes available that provided information on everything local which led me to a Chinese restaurant within a mile that was very good. The breakfast was perfect for me. For example, there was always fresh and hot coffee and water. I absolutely plan to visit again.
