I spent six weeks at Funky Monkey which were some of the most beautiful, love-filled I’ve ever had. The staff at this hostel are absolutely beautiful and they create such a lovey atmosphere in the hostel. The hostel is great for socialising, they always have things going on, it’s so easy to make friends. The rooms and facilities are clean, they have laundry which makes it so easy, and their kitchen menu is delicious!!! The staff always know where to find a party if that’s what you’re looking for and it’s in the PERFECT location for Shiva Valley on a Tuesday night. You can rent a scooty from nearby and explore Anjuna or go further and explore the beaches to the north and south. Anjuna is a lovely belt, peaceful area but with enough restaurants and bars to keep you occupied. I felt so calm and relaxed and utterly happy during my stay. I will definitely be back in the future!!!

Funky Monkey Hostel is truly my home away from home! As a solo female traveler, I always feel comfortable, safe and welcomed here. It’s the perfect hub to meet amazing people and make lifelong friendships. The staff is incredible—always helpful and kind. There are fun activities every day, creating the best vibe, yet it’s also peaceful at night, ensuring a great sleep. It’s the perfect balance! A huge thanks to Rohit, Shrada, Sofi, and others for being such a lovely crowd. I’m so grateful to have experienced this place again and again, and that’s why I always return—there’s just no place like it!

We had the best time at Funky Monkey!! The beds were comfy, the room was nice and cool, and the vibe was great!! All the staff were so friendly and fun to hang out with, we had a great time playing ping pong and drinking at the bar. Facilities were all tiptop and the staff even took us clubbing and to watch the sunset. Definitely coming back next year 🤙

I had a wonderful time at funky monkey hostel! the whole crew sophie, dk, mushir and all the others are doing their absolute best to make you feel as comfortable as possible! nothing is too complicated for them and I really had the feeling they act from their hearts. I absolutely recommend staying with them! the food is great the rooms are clean! 10000 out of 10. hopefully see you very soon!

The staff was one of the friendliest people I have met on my travels. The food on the hostel bar was excellent. Milieu was so nice there, I just felt my soul is in peace there. There is nice small beach right next to hostel.
