The hotel has seen better days. It smelled awful in the hallways and public areas were dirty. The side entrance door that was required to be locked at all times for security (and to meet fire code) was unlocked and opened at 11pm and couldn't be closed. The room was clean but very basic with a bathroom on par with a cheap motel. We would not recommend this hotel and would never stay there again.

Staff was courteous room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was good only complaint we had was air conditioner was not working properly and the room was hot for sleeping

The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was typical hotel food. Easy access to where we wanted to go. The historic district downtown is a little tricky, but worth going to. Try the Shenandoa pizza it's excellent!

The room looked 70% nice and 30% in need of some care.
The room was mostly clean, there were visible signs it was not thoroughly cleaned.
The bed was comfortable.
The Heating/AC unit sounded like it was raining outside when it came on.
The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good.
The hot tub was a disaster, when we turned on the jets, water shot into my wifes face, onto the walls and onto the floor. We tried adjusting the settings and had the same results. We enjoyed the tub without using the jets.
