Great price. Very nice young man at the check in. Have stayed here many times. Rooms are dated but very spacious and clean!

There is very rude man that answers the phone. He tried telling me that im not getting my deposit back because the room was "thrashed". If me not making the bed is ",thrashed" then i would be never getting my deposits back. This man was super rude, i stayed here 2 weeks ago and wasnt charged for my service dogs. Wjen i checked in didnt sign anything aboutnhaving dogs. But im being charged for them. So as soon as i gog off the phkne with this man, andorher charge shows up so fast and its for 41 something i have no idea what he is trying to pull. But im not playing his old man games. I will never stay there ever again

It’s older and they could clean the entry doors and windows. The bed was comfortable- the price was right for the amenities. Very pleasant check in staff.

Had issues getting there as freezing rain and roads were impassable. Could not get any refund from or a voucher for future stay. I get it but Won’t chose them in future

Service excellent. Beds clean and comfortable. Great location with view of the river. Restaurant staff super friendly. Rooms are older but excellent experience due to staff and what matters is the beds and sheets which were great.

Eggs were cold. No tea , had to ask for hot water to make are own tea,
They put room security on our bill and not on hold which is not good because we are Canadian and the exchange when the Visa company put it back on with a difference of almost $10. If they have put it on a hold like most hotels do it’s not a charge therefore, you don’t get penalized $10 when they take it off. Otherwise place was easy to access older hotel still clean. staff was friendly. They just made the one mistake on putting the Visa charge through and put it on hold.

Staff sucks! Kept my deposit because my handicap friend had medical issues and needed assistance from police department to move out of room!! But they've been charging my carddebit card 100$ 2×a day for 5days!c

The gal working during the day was nice but the evening and noc shift left something to be desired, in general staff gave the impression they barely knew what they were doing. We have been coming to Idaho Falls for Thanksgiving for the last 4 years and we’ve always stayed at the Shilo. The last 3 years we were treated great. We have 2 small dogs and usually only paid 1 $25 pet fee, always were given a ground floor. Last year we were even upgraded to a patio room for no extra charge. This year we not only didn’t get a ground floor but we were charged at least $100 pet fee. We have stayed at a couple of different places at times we were staying there in July but each time decided we didn’t want to stay anywhere but the Shilo. After this stay we are seriously considering looking into a new place

Room was clean. Staff was good. But I’ve been staying at this place for over 30 years. I checked out early in the morning. 6:30am. Wanted a cup of coffee. Usually they have a pot in the check in area. Was told I had to go to the restaurant. They were just opening. I walked in and said good morning and all I wanted was coffee. They asked me for my courtesy card for a free breakfast and I told them that I had already checked out and the card was with it. They said I couldn’t have any coffee until I showed them the card. So I told them fine but I will never come back due to their ignorance of a guest asking for coffee at 6:30am. It’s a shame that they have no commen sense that a person at 6:30 am isn’t a guest at the hotel. After using this hotel for over 30 years that definitely was unacceptable!! The rooms are outdated and half the time aren’t throughly cleaned. I’ve put up with this over the years but now over this simple little thing on the rejection of the coffee said it all. Good bye Shilo !!

The facility is old and in need of renovation and upgrades. For example, I had to put my foot against the side of the tub and pull the shower control knob with both hands in order to turn on the shower. The staff, however, are great especially Marla who runs the breakfast service. The low price makes the shortcomings bearable.
