The room was old and it had sheetrock patchy job done. We went to bed and then found ants on the bed and all over the room. The mattress was old and sagging.

We loved the old casita we stayed in, especially the fireplace which came with starter material. all of the windows looked out at others in a shared courtyard, so we didn't enjoy a lot of sunlight in the room, but we were mostly there to sleep. The coffee maker wasn't the most wonderful either, but fortunately there was coffee in the lobby. The Julia bar was great, as were the bartenders, appreciated separate areas for watching sports or just sitting by the fire. The keys we got at check in didn't work and had to be re-coded, the staff didn't know which bar was serving when, so we were escorted to one and then redirected to the other. The service at breakfast was very slow, ours was cold by the time it arrived and I just didn't eat mine; just FYI there is a limited menu for members' free breakfast. Highly recommend calling ahead for valet so you aren't left waiting to go out for a very long time while they service all of the cars coming in.

The room was very dark and dated. Broken and uneven tiles and bugs. Lots of bugs. When I mentioned the bugs I was told there is nothing they could do.

The hotel’s main advantage was its location. While the front desk and valet staff were excellent, housekeeping and restaurant/bar service left much to be desired. The restaurant isn’t worth dining at—there are far better and more affordable options in town with superior service. Staff, including their “manager,” seemed overwhelmed, and room cleaning was below standard. Toiletries were practically nonexistent, and I had to call each night just to get tea, as the rooms only provided coffee.
