The hotel was good. Room was good and clean, staff were friendly and helpful. But, whatever you do, dont eat there. We booked a table at 6. We were the second couple there. 45 minutes later the first couple go her hamburger - overcooked, and his steak, also overcooked. We got our fish before they got their food - about 40 minutes. We were the only tables full. The fish was rubbery, and the one piece was only an inch loneger than the french fries. The plate was hot so my coleslaw was warm. Breakfast was also a problem. They serve toast but no jam or jelly is available. The eggs tasted like fish. So, our stay at the hotel amd we would return - we just wouldnt eat there.

I booked this stay based on reviews I read. Our experience was different than all the positive reviews, so it was a little disappointing.
Pros: clean room/bathroom, check-in staff were friendly, nice dining area with fireplace, unique vintage property, great location
Cons:
Mattress was extremely firm and pillows were thin.
Not accessible, a lot of stairs.
Thin ceilings which amplified footsteps above non-stop throughout the late night.
Dining:
Once you get to the dining hall you wait at the host stand to be seated (per the big sign). You’re finally acknowledged, then told to select wherever you’d like to sit by the host/server, who is standing right by the menus, but makes you wait for them instead of giving them to you when you seat yourself. The process seems silly and service is a bit slow overall.
The menu appeared like it had delicious options. It is written like you’ll get a fresh farm to table experience. When you get your food, it’s basically a tv dinner. Not worth the money.
Although breakfast was “free” it felt the same way. Bait and switch.
Overall it was alright for one night. We most likely won’t stay there again.

The hotel is poorly kept and lacks normal room comforts like a in-room coffee maker and clothing storage. The internet was very poor and the lighting was dingy. Not at ALL worth the price paid.

The toilets in the rooms and common areas are to small. They need to be raised another ft off the floor. This place is not for people who have to use devices for walking. No handicap ramps to speak of. Need more help in the dining room slow service and both our orders were wrong.Sorry to say I cannot recommend this place to others.

Traveling with three senior citizens there was lots of stairs and no elevator. You have to go up and down stairs to get anywhere in the place. This would have been nice to know

There was a stain in the bath tub and we could not completely turn off shower. This caused a dripping sound all night long. Internet did not work for us the whole stay. Drink vending machine was completely out of product which took our money and did not refund. Morning staff at front desk was very rude and not friendly at all.
