Hotel itself was fine. Our room had old gum dried and ground into the carpet and on lanoleum floor. Bathroom door would not shut. The beds were uncomfortable. Blankets on beds had some dark stains. The floor is thin and creaky. There was no breakfast except coffee even though there was a sign at front desk that said to only take 2 muffins or oatmeal. There was also a card in our room that said the breakfast hours 6:30 -9. We got there around 8 and front desk said there was no breakfast. The hotel is conveniently located for Graceland and downtown Memphis area. Front staff was friendly. Price was good.

There wasn't anyone at the front desk, had to call on our phone to have someone come check us in. Had a kitchen with no dishes. Tried to get someone to bring them but gave up. A number of people hanging outside smoking cigarettes. Felt very unsafe.

Check in staff was friendly but failed to explain they do not clean rooms every day during my 4 day stay paid in advance. The floor was very sticky, bathroom wasn't very clean and both door very dirty. The cabinets were bare & microwave in very bad condition.

I was robbed of my vehicle and the staff were kind enough to charge me an early check in fee which doubled my room cost.
My guest was afraid to return to my room once they realized the staff was actually unable/unwilling to even ensure the gentleman who robbed me returned to the property. Which he did twice. They tell me I would have to leave as the knife I wear in my belt every day violates the their no weapons policy. How? They could not tell just that there is a picture of a knife in the sign. So. They was the managers reasoning.
