The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast, including the person putting it out, was good too.
The rooms were just okay. I did not get a very restful stay. Our first room was full of bugs (ladybugs or asian beetles). We discovered this after we unpacked and even got ready for bed. So, we packed up and left hte room, and got another one that we didn't have problems with. I also don't love the placement of the bed right next to the heater/AC unit - hard to get a consistent comfortable temp.
Good location though, about 10 min drive to campus, and it was about 45-50 min from Birmingham (right off the highway). If you stay here, just check the room before you unpack and you should be all good.

Horrible stay here. Room was dirty, shower drain was completely clogged and when you took a shower water was up to your calves. Disgusting!! The sink drain was also clogged and very slow draining. The air conditioner was very loud. When the housekeepers were in the hallway, they made so much noise and constantly slammed doors and would bang things while trying to clean, which was definitely not a good job. We would not recommend this property.

Mediocre needs a good cleaning the rugs in the hallway looks as though have have not been cleaned since installation. The tub had some rust and they were nosy. The room had not been vaccum since the previous stay. Glitter and food were in the floor and bathroom. The breakfast was just ok but very much appreciated appreciated. You get what you pay for.

Smokey-scented motel rooms are no longer acceptable today. Many people have allergies, asthma, or upper respiratory issues that smoke negatively impacts.
Please update bed linen so stained comforters and torn sheets don’t greet your guests.

The hotel was clean and well-maintained, which made for a pleasant stay. I do wish the room got a bit colder at night it was comfortable but not as cool as I prefer for sleeping. The bed sheets were a bit stiff, and instead of standard-size pillows, they provided several small ones, which wasn’t ideal for me.
Breakfast was included and had a decent selection: waffles, bacon, eggs, and sausage. However, the coffee and juice were disappointing both tasted watered down.
Despite those minor issues, I’d definitely stay here again when passing through Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The location is convenient with a gas station right across the street and several fast food options nearby.
