I would not stay there again or any other Best Western for that matter. looked like a cheap motel and smelled like mildew. Service ******, minus housekeeping workers tried to due what they could, but management was just dismissive. Will be filing a complaint I would not recommend this place to anyone for any reason stay somewhere where you count not just your money.

Best Western MLK st Lake Charles
I chose this hotel bec of good review but this is old hotel. Was hard to open door, had to change rm bec thermostat not working but eventually did. Changed rm. Aircon ok. Bathroom needs to be remodeled - shower curtain needs to be replaced. Paper towel hotel rusty. Replace bathtub faucet - very difficult to determine hot/cold. Needs Bleach spray cleaner for corners of tub. It's brown not white. All towels need to be replace. Very thin & not too white. Bed pillows very uncomfortable. Breakfast not up to par w other Best Western.

My car was hit while parked in the hotel lot. The hotel
smelled and was dirty. Sticks were used
to prop the doors open. Hotel walls were stained.

The food was sometimes cold and the pool is highly chlorinated so it dried out my kids skin and hair. Half way through our stay our hotel room bathroom was covered in ants in our clothes and on the toilet seat counters THEY WERE EVERYWHERE. And they wouldnt let us leave that room for another one but that morning 6am they finally gave us a new room and that same day they rented out the ant infested room

Most of this property was nice except one major thing.
We found a few roaches in our room. One in the bathroom and one in the main room. That scared my wife.

Top of the Line for a Great Price
Had an amazing stay. Staff was courteous and attentive and the rooms were nice and clean at all times.

Checking was good. We arrived a few minutes early and was able to get in our room. The commode handle was broken. Our door did not lock from the inside. The bab was pretty comfortable and everything was pretty clean. It was a musky smell. I guess it was due to the old carpet. Overall, it was okay, we just went there to sleep.
