Okay hotel. Great history about it but for the price you pay, it was okay. There was only one towel in the bathroom, a half of roll of toilet paper, no fridge and no ice machine on the floor. The water from the shower got all over the bathroom floor due to no shower door (the design) so with no extra towels in the room, that got messy. Bed was comfy. The rooftop bar was a nice touch that stayed open late, but definitely more for a younger crowd i feel, played loud “club” music mainly. Possibly because it was a Saturday night. The front desk staff were very nice and the valet guy was very nice and helpful. Location was very convenient to the event we were going to downtown so we could walk. Not sure if i would stay again, i will probably try out a different place next time i get to Birmingham.

Staff Excellent! Eveything Else, Not Good! Beds are Super Firm, Furniture is Very Worn, Chipped paint and dents everywhere, fabric is worn on the seating, nightstands are painted and peeling, the room is very small and tight. the windows are so thin you hear every sound you can think of at night, people walking, talking, car doors closing, regular street traffic, I kept thinking a window must be open. The bathroom shower and sink are very nice but even the ceiling had rust marks and the door was worn in the corners. You could just tell that the property really needed a lot of upgrading, it looks like they tried to do a couple of nice things and left everything else shabby. Not good at all. They could have at least put in a mini fridge next to the desk, that would have been a nice plus for guests. Valet Mike was great and so were the front desk ladies and the cleaning staff. I would only stay here if you need to be in this exact location. The lobby is very pretty but I don't enjoy looking at furniture in such poor condition in my room. :-(

I had booked this property under the assumption it was a 4 star hotel, as noted on *******, but there is no way it is a 4 star. The lobby is nice but the rest of the hotel is quite “tired” and in need of a refresh. Scuffed furniture in the room, a view of industrial pipes out the window. Cigarette butt in the hallway Sat morning. This is fine for a 2 star hotel, and maybe my assumption was wrong, but it appears ******* rates this as a 4 star.

I arrived well at the checkout time in my room was not ready for two hours, and I almost missed my show. I was totally inconvenience. The lobby was full hot and frustrating. I’m a Hilton reward member bynn for several years. This almost made me stop shopping and doing business with the franchise.

Roof top bar lacking in wine choice. When asked about the wine we were told, white, red or rose. No really good choices. Staff is excellent at front desk and valet parking fast, friendly and helpful.

Great, central location. Valet drivers were friendly and it was easy to get to and from the hotel. The rooms did the job, but this is an older hotel and could do with some renovations. There aren't any usb ports so make sure you have a cube! Only one side of the bed had a plug, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, the old elevators make a lot of noise and we could hear these during the night. Good for a basic hotel, without any frills.

Ehhhh won’t be back
The most popping rooftop in Birmingham… you take that as you’d like to. Rooms are in need of an update. There’s like one power outlet in the whole room, no towel rods or hooks near shower. No fridge or cool box. No smart TV. Carpet and wallpaper peeling. Staff was nice and overnight valet is great.
