We stayed for our anniversary and were very pleasantly surprised. Our room was huge, clean, and quiet. The heavy drapes on the windows worked perfectly to keep the light and the cold out. The bed was comfortable, the bottled water a pleasant addition. The only thing we found an issue with was that the water was excessively hot, and I scalded my hand, so I would suggest that this is adjusted to a safer setting.

Well this is the strangest hotel set up I’ve ever stayed at. The entrance and car park is the rear of the property. The car park is small and the cars of the don’t park correctly is such a tight squeeze. I was lucky to get the last place. You arrive at reception and I saw a lady behind reception who told me to ring the number on the sign to check in. I arrive an hour early so had to pay £10 early check in. The lady on the phone told me she needed to check with staff if my room was ready. I just passed my phone over to her and she handed me the key card. Don’t know why I was long winded to get key. My room was a single bed, stains on the carpet and very creaky floor boards. Bed is comfortable. Plenty of coffee sachets n sugar but one tea bag. The milk sachets - never again as I think it gone off as there were lumps in my only cup of tea. No one around to complain to. The shower. Got into but then it started trickling water like someone had turned the water off. The main light in bathroom didn’t work so I relied on the mirror light. For the price , you’d expect at least the basics. The positive is that’s it 2 mins to main pubs and market. Don’t think I would stay here ever again

This was a terrible experience at a hotel which was once full of character. The only saving grace was that my room was clean

Visited Beverley with friends, lovely town and great hotel to stay for location, literally minutes from the main square. Hotel room was absolutely spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Tea & coffee in the room along with free bottled water was a nice touch. Big bathroom and huge bedroom, plenty of storage, new carpets I think, friendly reception staff, good value, would definitely stay again.

Quirky and quaint but has all the ameneties you need for an overnight stay, just need your toothbrush. Room was spotless, bed comfy, plenty of tea coffee and biscuits. Room quite large with a generously sized bathroom. The entrance on Lairgate is locked, but a quick phone call re directred me to the entrance round the back off the car park, so don't take any notice of Gerorge G and his tip that the hotel is closed, the hotel is not closed. (could mybe do with a sign on the front door directing you to the rear). The car park is small and fills up quickly, but just across from the hotel car park there is a public pay and display where £8 got us 3 nights parking. Be careful if you are tall, as some of the door ways aren't very high (esp room 22) . There's no breakfast at this hotel, but I can highly reccommend Cafe V just around the corner on Sow Hill Road.

If you like the hotel with history and a certain vibe, this place is for you. Affordable prices for a Beverley town center and spotlessly clean room. We did not know what to expect as been told it's self check in check out, but we met a lovely lady called Angelika on arrival who showed as our rooms and explained situation with calling on request. Room was clean, warm and faced the Minster. We definitely will be coming back again.

A super cheap deal for the Room. Literally a room. No staff. I had to phone for my key and did two key fobs while on the phone. The accessible room was great. Loads of room and very clean Outside lights did shine through the curtains so no complete darkness

The manager said he had upgraded our rooms to four posters, we had no curtains or top part of the four poster, just 4 posts ?🤣 the bathroom was very cold couldn't get heating on, there was heating when we arrived, all the downstairs & lounge was very cold and uninviting.
