Elevators weren’t working. First floor room was amazingly noisy thanks to the huge gap beneath the door, the ice machine in an alcove across the hall, housekeeping leaving the door open to the industrial dryers room. Not worth the price

Nice place to stay for a small Texan town
Nice place to stay. Breakfast was good. Hallettsville is a nice, small, clean town of 2000+ persons. Highways are very good. Cattle and Oil country with more hills than I realized.

Charged even though I cancelled in time
I didn't stay here, had cancelled in May 2025 but they still charged me anyway
Manager was very rude when I spoke to him and gave him all my info and he still charged me

It was ok. The bathroom was not so great. The shower was weird to work and the pipe on shower head sticking out of the wall area. But given the circumstances I had to it was doable.

Check in/out was easy and the clerk was very friendly.
The room was in need of updating. Coffee maker and television remote didn't work. A/C was cold and we slept well.

OK property with significant flaws
Stayed two nights. On the first night, a ceiling alarm started beeping at 1:30 AM because the battery had died. This is frankly inexcusable; they should have long ago installed 10-year alarms and identified the afternoon they would replace each one so as not to interrupt guests, especially in the middle of the night.
Breakfast was a sad affair; the eggs and sausages were cold and of low quality, and the overall variety of offerings was pedestrian. But the waffles come in the shape of Texas, if that's your thing.
Other aspects are positive. Convenient location, reasonably modern, comfortable bedding (though the pillows need an upgrade), good strong shower with easily regulated temperature settings. Unit AC as opposed to the always-preferred central air and thermostat. Refrigerator is a plus, inadequate freezer inside it is a minus.
