I liked the ease getting to the Hotel. The staff was great.
The doorways need to be cleaned better and there was some maintenance needed on the dresser and the bathroon sink in my room.

This place was disgusting, I wouldn’t even call it a motel. The staff was okay enough no spectacular service or anything but that wasn’t a big deal or really expected. I go into the room and right away it smells disgusting. It was supposed to be a no smoking room, but it reeked. I go to see the bed, and the pillow cases and well as the pillow and sheets have yellow stains and feel wet and smell like mildew. That’s only the start as the rug also had many stains and we haven’t even discussed the restroom yet. The restroom you can see black mold everywhere it was genuinely so disgusting as the tub is the shower would be budging out on the floor as it seemed like water was pooling up under the plastic or whatever it is. Oh and let’s not forget the dead roaches that I found as well. Genuinely such a horrible stay and would not recommend anyone to stay here as I felt so uncomfortable throughout the night and could not sleep peacefully. Worst stay ever ESPECIALLY considering the price is somewhat a premium for what was offered, absolutely regret booking this place. DO NOT BOOK HERE

Musty smell. Clean hotel room
Room was clean. Manager that checked us in was very friendly. The hotel smelled musty upon entering the building and in all the halls and common areas. I did not realize that the pool area was open to the common areas resulting in the musty smell. Was looking for a room that had 3 beds for 3 adults. Attending Iowa state football game and needed a reasonably priced room. I do not think that I would choose this hotel again

Pictures are better than reality. Camera’s everywhere which might seem safe but feels more creepy. No lighting in rooms. Carpet dated.

Price was great, surrounding area of restaurants was great. So far as our room not the best leaking ceiling in the bathroom area where water was constantly puddling, mold behind the door. Room wasn’t the cleanest & the smell was not the best. There was kids running around the hotel constantly, so noise control was non existent.

There was FAR TOO MUCH & WAAAYYYY TOO MANY instances that transpired during my family vacation stay this past weekend @ Wyndam Garden Ankeny/Des Moines hotel, but I will certainly highlight a plethora of situations, so that maybe I can save someone else from the same experience as myself & my family. Breakfast at the attached diner was very pleasant. The 3 free choices offered (cooked to order) or the option of $5 off any menu item was a nice change from the standard cereal, waffle station, steam table eggs.
