This is a nice getaway from Kampala but not worthy as a standalone destination. Rooms are average; sufficient but small and certainly not luxurious. Nice to get fresh air and have activities for the kids, but they need to adjust their pricing. I paid more for activities than I did for lodging! I understand paying extra for horseback riding for example, but to have to pay to walk around the property and go look at baby goats is a bit over the top. Really makes it feel like they are nickel and diming you and turned me off.

Nice getaway from Kampala for a weekend, but they need to figure out the pricing. I paid more for activities than for my stay. You pay to do a walk around the property, for kids to clean the horse stables, and to go look at the baby goats. I understand paying for pottery or to ride the horses, of course, but to take a walk? Some things should be included for overnight guests or it just feels like a nickel and dime game. Food and rooms fine overall and not a destination location, but if you live in Kampala it's a nice break from the city.

Ever heard of a saying you can't know best till you experience it? Now Bushbaby lodge is a full definition of calmness, tremendous experience and first class customer service. The forest walks, the serene environment and the beautiful scenery is beyond the stretch of imagination. The horse riding experience, the guides, the fresh fruits from the trees, beautiful pets. No words can explain what should be experienced.

Wanted to go get away from all the hustle and bustle of the town noise and madness to regenerate for a creative session and go to a place that's not far from Kampala. I wasn't ready for what Bush Baby Lodge had in store. Everything about this place is breathtakingly beautiful, the scenery, the amount of green, the sustainable living, the animals, the activities and the foooooooood. Loved every single minute. Definitely coming back. Thank you for the amazing work Bush Baby team.

Bush Baby Lodge is a truly wonderfully serene place. Once you get there, you completely switch from the hustle and bustle to the refreshing tranquility. You truly feel at one with nature, and it was the first time that we actually got to know what forest bathing actually means! We went with our two kids and they were excited about the prospect of going there. They (and we) were not disappointed in the slightest. Alice and Neil are wonderful hosts, and their staff (and dogs!) are very friendly, welcoming and responsive. For the farm and forest tours, Isaac is extremely knowledgeable, and explained everything very clearly so that even kids held their interest during the tours. His ability to tell which type of snake is in the vicinity is amazing, although we didn't get to see that put into practice! You definitely learn a lot from the experience. Highly recommended for family getaways or any other sorts of retreats.

I had an incredible time at Bush Baby lounge for a few hours. As a lover of nature, I found this to be the ideal escape for me, and I will definitely return to have the full experience. Those few hours drove me throughout the rest of that week and I can’t wait for what a couple of more days will do. The lounge is also close to Kampala city so this definitely makes going there wherever I need a break really possible. I also finally had a couple of minutes on the horses thanks to the skilled instructors who talked the fear out of me!

The lodge is found in a beautiful natural scenery. One can hear the birds singing and other animals. The service is quite good and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Nonetheless, the quality of the rooms and amenities is average. The pool is actually an above ground pool where one can only go in to refresh, but not swim, more for kids than adults. The mattresses on the beds are hard as rocks or they plunge under one's weight and you end up sleeping directly on the bed frame. The water pressure in the shower is quite low. Although the food is quite good and entirely home made from fresh products on the farm, we (as a family) ended up paying 3 times more for food than for the accommodation...
