This hotel is clean and comfortable . Great TV channels such as HBO and Food Network, friendly staff, and free coffee and ice water in the lobby made things very pleasant. The price was half what I would pay if staying in the Times Square area. Street parking was easy to find. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 starts is that the location is a couple of blocks outside the Queens Plaza area, in a somewhat struggling neighborhood. It was pretty deserted at night so even though the subway was nearby, I felt a little concerned for safety.

A nice place to stay while in New York. Room rates lower than a Manhattan hotel to this add 2-3 subway stations closeby the hotel is well connected with both Manhattan and JFK. The rooms are nice and fairly small but offers the basics while visiting. The inclded breakfast is not really worth it being-grab-and-go with lots of single use plastics i.e., not ECO-friendly. If you want bread, cheese and fresh fruit for breakfast you will have to bring it yourself.

One of the best locations in NY due to the closeness to the city by only two metro stations and very safe area due to police efficiency in NY. Was there for business but enjoyed to the max. The crew was very helpful and the hotel was very new when I traveled.

NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE AT RECEPTION FOR A SIMPLE QUESTIONS. AND WHEN THEY DO NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING AND TRANSFERS YOU! I NEED SOMEONE TO REACH OUT TO ME. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL!

But for the cost, its a great value. Close to the trains into Manhattan. Enough amenities, groceries, restaurants, etc are close by, its fine for traveling on a budget. Tough to find a room with 2 queens without paying a lot.

I was on holiday and stayed at the microtel in december month. The hotel is fine, BUT!! I had the experience, that when I should pay for the room at the counter with my VISA card and it has run through I was told by the staff that it has not gone through, this even though it said 'approved' on the card terminal. As I could not show that it has gone through, I had to run the card through again to get the room, This time I was told, it went through. But when I get home from vacation, I could see that the amount for paying the room has been charged twice on my account, which is consistent with the fact that it showed 'approved' the first time I ran the card through. I have tried to write the hotel twice, asking to have my money back for the one transaction, with no response what so ever!! I find this very frustrating. One thing is, that mistakes happen, but it is very wrong, that there is no response when you address the mistake. So I recomment, if you stay at this microtel, pay in advance or be sure not to make your payment twice at the counter.

We will definitely comeback and stay on this hotel. Clean hotel, clean room, clean elevators, clean hallways, big, front desk staff are nice. Guy with long braided hair on night shift ( I am sorry I forgot your name) and Myra on dayshift. When we come back, I will give you two gifts. Ty for a nice stay as first timer in NY.

I stayed here to save money on conference travel, and the room was comfortable and clean with friendly desk staff. If you’re not planning to be in the room much, this is fine. The breakfast was nonexistent (coffee/tea, warm yogurts, and granola bars) and there’s no fridge in the room, so plan to grab a good bagel on your own in town. Transit nearby was convenient and reliable. Would stay again if I needed a cheap-ish option, but worth it to just go elsewhere if you have the extra cash.
