Decent room, good location, good value for the price. I expect to be in Evansville multiple times over the next few years, and I will probably stay at the Howard Johnson again. Is it a little worn down? Yes, but it is a solid stay at a decent price.

Yes I did feel our room was neglected the toilet handle was broken.
The aroma in the hall at night was NOT tobacco !!

I wasn't told before arriving there would be a $50 deposit. I only had enough money for the room, which I had already paid for on line, and gas. Guests need to be told ahead of time about the deposit.

我们于26日星期三入住这家酒店。办理入住的过程令人恼火，因为前台工作人员的英语不太好。我们已经提前支付了房费，因为这家酒店评价很好（原因我不太明白），所以我们不想因为办理入住的问题而放弃预订。我听力不好，有一只服务犬可以提醒我注意噪音。我要求入住一间无障碍客房，但这家酒店没有。他给了我房卡，但当我告知他我会带服务犬入住时（我每次入住酒店都会告知，以免他们把服务犬当作宠物收费）后，他收回了房卡，把我安排到一间“仅限宠物入住”的房间。我提出抗议，但他坚持说他们不允许把宠物安排在其他房间。入住后，我发现这些房间的维护状况很差。房间似乎被粉刷过一百遍，地板是硬地板，所以很容易积灰，一点也不干净。我们在房间里走了一会儿，光脚底就黑了。电视柜后面居然还有猫砂。房间在房子的另一头，靠近外门，所以我们待在那里的大部分时间里，电视的Wi-Fi都连不上。更糟糕的是，我们像往常一样检查了房间里是否有臭虫，结果还是发现了。
我们原本被安排的房间，上厕所时发现马桶座圈上有粪便污渍。我们向前台反映后，他们给我们换了一间房，但房间里地板上还散落着易拉罐盖，显然没有彻底吸尘和清洁，而且浴室里还有老鼠屎。要不是他们事先没通知就收了50美元的押金，而且我当时急着睡觉，我肯定会要求退款，然后另找一家酒店。
第一个房间已经有人住了，新房间的床垫下有食物（当时正在检查是否有臭虫），而且早上我们去洗澡时，水要么烫得像水垢一样，要么就没水，没有中间温度。
一切都很棒，非常干净！我推荐这里！
