As we drove in, we noticed the building and grounds were fairly nice (well lit, secure etc), but things such as child trafficking info posters in the lobby, signs warning you to return the luggage carts or pay a fine, as well as a less than welcoming front desk clerk were a little off-putting. None-the-less, it's a relatively generic hotel on first impression. The room was a little tired...you can tell a lot of people have stayed here over the years. But it wasn't noticeably dirty or anything. Maintenance-wise, everything worked as it should. Also, despite it being close to the highway, we didn't hear a lot of noise from it. My main complaint with the room is the bathroom. It's one of the ones where the toilet and shower are in their own room and the sink and counter are in the main room. There is NOWHERE to put your clothes when you're in the shower except on the toilet which is kind of gross. It would be nice if they could incorporate a shelf into the towel rack above the toilet. The breakfast had very limited options. There was nothing impressive. But you won't leave hungry at least. This room wasn't cheap, but in 2024, given it's price point, it's a decent hotel and i'd stay again.

The hotel desperately needs a renovation. Entire hotel smells of cigarette smoke. Carpets/walls/curtains are badly stained. Breakfast has limited options and is tiny. Ice machines broken and no washer or dryer in the laundry area (at least on 4th floor). Dust on top of headboards and on the top of the shower. Honestly worst hotel stay. The hotel staff was alright, seemed to be confusion between maintenance and front desk. Key was programmed correctly so I had to go back down as soon as I checked in.

The staff was absolutely fantastic with the current situation, with people evacuating from Hurricane Milton. The room was clean and housekeeping did a great job. The breakfast person did a fantastic job keeping up with all the people at the hotel for breakfast.

Came in and no one at desk. 5-10 mins later someone came. Room smoked in by previous person, changes rooms. Breakfast nice in morning. Good location. Beds good.

It was a pleasure staying at the hotel every thing was clean and every one was respectful and the housekeeper was very polite and friendly

Great rates, good service, and accommodations. Location superb across from mall, many places to eat, and close to Zoo Miami.

This is our place to stay when we visit South Florida. As always, everything was perfect. Rooms are clean, bathroom clean, breakfast was great (I love the waffles). 100% recommend this hotel.

we stayed at La Quinta in Sarasota and there was eggs and bacon and hot chocolate and oatmeal options that were not at this location. Also, the staff was not as joyful as the Sarasota location. all, Quintas are not the same
