Spectacular views of Denali right from our room. There were fire pits to sit at outside, the restaurant was lovely and delicious, the bus transports to the city (very mini with a few shops and restaurants) and to the train station/visitor center. Lovely overall!

Great location for access to Denali National Park. The room and bed were comfortable, and there is a restaurant and grab 'n go market were we purchased breakfast items to eat in our room. Shuttles for the Denali bus tour pick you up right at the hotel. A little pricey for what you get, but you can't beat the location - the view from the outdoor deck was beautiful, especially in September with the fall colors.

Denali in the fall
The service was amazing, met at the train station and handed our room keys-since they had already checked us in. the room was spacious and clean. On site dining at Alpenglow restaurant was delicious. We stayed on the last night of the season and it would have been easy to let service slide. Appreciated the wake up call option to view the northern lights!

The staff are great. The evening front desk supervisor was very kind and helpful. Room is very clean. We were in a last minute pinch due to another property giving our room away after we prepaid 6 months in advance. This property worked out for the best. Thank you!

Truly appreciated the entire staff at this resort. Everyone was bright, articulate, informative and customer focused. Resort is relatively new and both rooms and common areas were well appointed, spacious and clean. Great views from the main building! Shuttle service ran every 40 minutes to the restaurant area “downtown “, Denali National Park, and the train station.

Not close to anything so you are their captive
All accommodations near Denali are over-priced for what you get so I’ll try to not be overly harsh on Grande Denali Lodge but it’s still disappointing to pay over $330 for a very basic, Motel 6 quality room. I’m primarily writing to warn potential guests that the hotel is not close to anything (on top of a very steep hill) so be prepared to be gouged $32 for breakfast and $40-50+ for dinner. There is no Uber Eats or DoorDash in Denali and it’s almost an hour of walking (half it it steep uphill) to each anywhere except Grande Denali Lodge’s one, overpriced restaurant
