Roaches everywhere!

Our stay was terrible! We checked in around 3 and put our bags in the room and my suitcase on one of the beds. We left and spent the evening in Asheville. We came back to the room to unwind and shower around 8. When i moved my suitcase, there were two roaches that had crawled under it. We then looked at the wall and saw two more roaches. We took pics and a video but i am not gonna post them here. At that, i went to the front desk to ask for a different room. The front desk guy said that they were fully booked. So i asked for a refund. He said that he couldn’t give me a refund at the time unless maintenance could come to the room and confirm the roaches but also said that he was the only employee on site. Of course i was furious because i had showed him a video already. I immediately booked a room at another hotel and went back to our room to get our bags. Upon leaving the premises i went back one more time to turn in my keys. At that, the guy at the front desk said that if i decided to stay, he would give me a 50% refund, and if i left at that moment, his manager said that i would receive a 100% refund. Of course, i left at that moment. If you stay at this property in room 204, please be careful that you don’t take any little critters home with you!

Front desk customer service gal was great! We were greeted and treated so well. Hotel is in a quiet, great location right off the highway. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here for the price.

Hotel is very nice and quiet. Lots of easy parking. Can walk to restaurants from the hotel, there’s not a sidewalk the whole way and it’s not lit up but it’s still nice. The road beside the sidewalk is a little busy but otherwise everything is nice.

Nice but something unwanted!

The room seemed clean and the bed was very comfortable, however in the middle of the night around 2:00 a.m. I woke up to use the bathroom and found a small cockroach in there, and then when I went back to the bed a larger one in the bed. I checked the rest of the room and found no others but I was still not comfortable about staying in the bed and went out to my car to sleep for the rest of the night. I also took my luggage because I did not want to take any cockroaches home with me. The desk clerk in the morning was very kind and expressed concern about the situation. They said they would get someone out to check it out soon, but that sometimes cockroaches come in with other people. Either way I was uncomfortable about staying the second night and canceled that. They were good with that, but they did not offer me any kind of credit or refund on the first night although I spent the night in my car. I then decided to go ahead and at least shower in the bathroom of the bedroom and then I ate breakfast. At least the people at the desk were very kind both of them again and check out.
