I thought since this property received good reviews overall that I would be staying at a nice place. I was very wrong. I checked in and went up to my room. The first room they had me in clearly had not been cleaned or stayed in for a while. There were dead fruit flies in the bed, and the room was dirty. I went down to ask to be put in another room. The second room I went to had stains all over the sheets, and it also looked like it had not been cleaned or used in a while. I was overall disappointed in the hotel rooms and expected more since the reviews were good online. I will say the staff are all very kind and welcoming. They were willing to accommodate me when I asked to change rooms. The manager was very nice, and she was willing to help me with the issues.
Overall, the staff are fantastic, the hotel (not so much…)

My A/C did not work my last two days i notified the front desk and was told someone would call up to my room when they had figured out new arrangements but then never did

The room was really clean and the staff were extremely friendly! The breakfast area was clean and had a wonderful selection!!

I'm very disappointed with the condition of my room upon arrival. The room was not clean and did not meet the basic hygiene standards I expected. This is unacceptable and has negatively affected my stay. I'm not recommended.

Maria, we think she runs the breakfast area/lounge - truly made our stay. The hotel is conveniently located enough, the rest of the staff were nothing to write home about, the pool & hot tub were incredibly cloudy, and the room only had 1 mirror which was obviously in the bathroom. Overall, the room did what we needed it to - it stayed cool & we had beds to sleep in with a TV. But the vent in the bathroom was falling off the ceiling & the shower was slow to drain. On the other hand, Maria was so welcoming, friendly, dedicated to keeping the breakfast area/lounge clean & ready for each guest - from day 1 she had us feeling much better about staying there. We didn't spend days at the hotel - but we did enjoy her biscuits & gravy, eggs, sausage, etc each of the 3 mornings we were there! We can not praise her enough - Maria is an absolute asset to the Best Western Plus in Lake Dallas, TX.
