Three things I love about Sinag are: 1) Location - surrounded with restaurants, cafes, shops; walking distance to Cloud 9 and Catangnan Bridge; but even with that, you still have that peace of province feels as it became quiet and not hectic at night 2) Welcoming and Friendly Staff - like everyone was just so accommodating especially to Ate Gelyn, Ate Evelyn, Jerr, the owner, and the other Ate (forgot to get her name). Plus the cute smart Ella. They also invited me to join them to visit houses during the fiesta. 3) Family Vibes - you can easily make friends with other guests especially when you’re in the lounge plus the Family Dinner on Wednesday wherein you can connect and get to know each other. The hostel is very basic bed & shower. Do not expect too much but comfortable enough to have a good sleep. You may hear some noises from outside/other rooms too when it’s too much. You can choose between dorm type room or private room. You can also cook your own food. They offer tours and activities like surfing lessons. Two things that can be worked on: day time power outage especially we’re working (we thought there was generator but maybe it’ll be used at night only) and the toilet’s faucet can use a bit of replacement. Overall, I can highly recommend Sinag Hostel and I would love to be back again.👍

I’m sorry but this was among my least favorite hostels after 2 months traveling Asia. I ended up leaving early. Here’s why: - There are 4-5 super aggressive dogs in this hostel who love to bark like mad at literally anything all the way up to 3AM each night and again at 9AM the next morning. If you have the room on the bottom floor like I did you’ll 100% be woken by them 6-7 times throughout the night even with ear plugs. - This was the least comfortable bed of my whole trip, you can feel the wooden frame through it and my back was hurting each morning. - If you’re over 6 foot tall you will not fit in these beds. - There is NO toilet paper in this hostel. Another first for me during this trip. This was the final straw for me. - Wifi does not work in the rooms at all. - No hot water in the showers. Ever. - Absolutely zero social atmosphere. Plenty of locals chatting loudly with the owners at 8AM each day though, fun wakeup call. - Bathrooms and showers are super low quality, the shower on my Coron expedition tour felt nicer. I regret having spent money for this and hope I can convince others to avoid my mistakes.
