A Faster Response Please

Our room had a mild odor that my family noticed shortly after we arrived in our room. They are more sensitive to smells than am I, but I did eventually notice. We did not know the source until I discovered some kind of spilled solution when I stepped in it on the carpet near the computer desk. I was beginning to study at my laptop there. I took my socks off, put on my slippers, stepped onto the tile floor to go to the bathroom and discovered that the solution was slippery. I contacted the front desk attendant who said they would come up to examine it; however, after some time they did not arrive. I think that person was alone at the front desk. I was busy studying in the meantime. I called again to remind the attendant. A new attendant had arrived and did come up to examine the spot and offered us a change of rooms. By that time it was approximately 11:00 PM. We had settled in so decided not to move. It was late and we had to rise early the next morning for a community conference. We did not want to have to repack and resettle that late at night.

Beyond that situation, we did appreciate the other comforts the room offered including the curtained lounge area, full kitchen, useful business surfaces with comfortable desk chair and adequate toiletry items. I just wanted to let you know the inconvenience of the situation and hope that you will make some kind of adjustment on our behalf. I retain remembrance of that mild odor in the back of my throat even now.

I told them that I was there for work, I was placed on 2nd floor with surrounding people with stinky dogs and loud kids! I worked night shift so I didn’t rest , I checked out the next day and went to another hotel!

The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The room was clean but the air conditioning was odd. There was an air conditioning unit like usual that worked fine. The problem was the vent in the ceiling that sounded like someone was breathing very loudly all night..woke me up..weird!! The bed was harder than a rock, woke up sore every day. The silverware drawer at breakfast was dirty, but there weren't any forks anyway?? Breakfast was mediocre at best. The staff had a welcome board when you walked in with useful info, but..they chose a customer of the day and wrote their name on the board as well. This could be a privacy issue for someone. Someone that needs a hotel to escape some kind of abuse certainly wouldn't want their name displayed first thing when you walk in the door. Hopefully, they ask permission before they post names publicly. The hotel is in a convenient area and parking was easy.
