Ecolodge Beauregard wasn't what I was expecting. Don't take that as a negative it was a lovely location in the french countryside. The staff went above and beyond to help me get to the location, and make me feel at home. I would absolutely reccomend taking a car to get there, taxis are very expensive and Uber doesn't operate in this part of France. I stayed there ro visit castle Guedelon, an archeology project nearby i.e. figure out how to build a medieval castle by building one how it would have been done in the 13th century. Its a 15 minute drive to the castle from the property or one of the most picturesque hour walks through the forest I've ever made. If youre willing to brave the land of very small-town France where everything closes by 7pm, you won't be dissapointed.
