I got a Groupon deal which gave us free parking and a glass of fizz( or beer). It's a hotel in two parts but o, what a lot of stairs for my arthritic knees!! Please note NO LIFT, not for disabled people who want an upper floor room. All problems delt with very well. Bed large but scruffy..Comfy tho, till awoken at 2:30 by neighbours TV!! Glad I had my ear plugs. Breakfast was ok, good sausages, bacon but eggs, well they would bounce if dropped!! Lol. So, all in all, good value for money and a nice stay. High light, MC Donald's and spoons next door.

The hotel is definitely a game of two halves. The reception, bar and dining room are very nicely decorated and very clean and tidy. The accommodation area, that we were in, was in dire need of updating. Our room, 65, was clean but tatty. Marks on all the walls, threads on edge of carpet that were at least six inches long and the bathroom should be ripped out and replaced. We found that the walls were very thin and noise was heard from all directions. Having a two night stay we expected the room to be cleaned on the second day and requested that however when we arrived back late afternoon no one had been into it to carry out any thing at all. Now for the plus points. Clare the lovely lady on reception is amazing. Bubbly, informative and the star of the show. Nothing we asked was beyond her knowledge and the rapport was superb. The breakfast was very very good, plentiful well cooked and a lot of options. Would we stay again? Yes if it was refurbished!!!

Great hotel, great value, and in great location. It may not be 5* luxury, but it is the staff who absolutely make this place. You couldn’t ask for nicer or kinder Reception staff who go out of their way to help. First class, every time (and I stay here pretty often..). Huge thank you to the wonderful Eva, and Eleni, Claire and Sunny.

This hotel is a little dated but a nice enough stay for central Manchester and surrounding areas. The breakfast is good and staff pleasant. The outside areas are a little tatty with a lot of cig ends thrown on the floor. Hotels charging for parking on site is a major irritant. We had two cars overnight and the charge was £14.

We had a great 4 night stay at the Sure Hotel (Best Western, South Manchester). We were visiting family in the area. The facilities, room and breakfast were excellent. It is in a great location for public transport, places to eat and a supermarket (Sainsburys). Although in a busy area, the hotel was quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful and everywhere was very clean. We loved the decor too ~especially the Lowry prints. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Always enjoyed staying at Best Western hotels and this one in Manchester lived up to my expectations. Nicely situated hotel in Fallowfield area, close to good eateries. Very good breakfast buffet at reasonable price

Extra friendly, helpful staff. Room size was perfect for 3 of us. The room was very warm but it’s only fault. Will be back soon as perfect for visiting my daughter who is at Uni. Has got everything you need close by.

Combined a stay in this hotel to coincide with a visit to a theatre in Manchester. Checking in was very easy and met with friendly helpful reception staff. Informed that buses into Manchester Piccadilly were available outside the hotel (bus stop a very short walk away). The hotel has no lift and there are a couple of flights of steps upto the reception (also stairs down to the bar restaurant and breakfast room too). The rooms were a touch on the small side but adequate for the two nights stay. Bathroom with bath and shower over the bath all worked perfectly. Beds were extremely comfortable, clean white bedding and towels (extra towels in the wardrobe). Cleaning staff aren’t coming into the rooms unless requested but anything extra required is available from reception. Breakfast was excellent and everything was fresh and plentiful. Really enjoyed our stay.

Extremely noisy - radiators/pipes, thin walls Very dated look and feel inside, like an old boarding school. Breakfast buffet was OK, watch out for the medium rare bacon. Get what you pay for, easy journey into city centre and much cheaper than staying there. Staff are very pleasant.

Room very clean,Bed super comfortable, very quiet considering the hotel is on a main road. Our room overlooked Macdonalds but was still very quiet. Good position. Internet connection very good. Short taxi ride into Manchester.
