I apologize that you did not have a positive stay with us.I learned yesterday of a room where there was a report similar to what you describe and, following our protocol for any such concerns, investigated it with our head housekeeper and maintenance person. We searched all beds, removing all linens one by one, bagged them for separate laundry attention, checked the mattress ribbing, box spring, headboard and sofa frame. We did not find any evidence of any insect much less a bed bug. Still, we recognize that inspects may be in our living environment at home or on the road and, as is normal for this hotel, we put the room out of order and are treating it as a precautionary measure.With respect to the sofa mattress, I sincerely apologize for the unacceptable condition and have also already taken steps to clean and sanitize the fabric frame support and mattress thoroughly. We have also already ordered a replacement mattress. Additional staff training is also underway.Following our investigation and actions yesterday, I called and spoke with a woman, who said she was the guest in the room, explained our search protocol and findings and apologized to her particularly for the mattress. I regret that your family's stay was unsatisfactory and invite you to consider returning for a future stay.Cordially,

We will certainly allergen labels -- thank you for the suggestion.
