There was NO bar or restaurant as listed in the description- we were unhappy on arrival and contacted ******* who did not allow us to move from the hotel if we wanted a refund without waiting for their investigation- manager was sympathetic and upgraded us to a new room which was good but it wasn’t the hotel we booked. A week later we still haven’t heard from ******* regarding our refund despite the manager saying he would agree our refund !!!! We wouldn’t stay again - tried to stay with free parking but due to the distance spent what we would have paid to park in town centre in taxis - and had to go out as no bar or restaurant!!!

The hotel was old and dirty, my bedroom had chips in the doors and woodwork. My TV had 1 or 2 televisions and the rest were foreign language. The window didn’t close properly and was extremely dirty with cobwebs and dirt. The room seemed to have a bug problem with bugs found in and around the room. The room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke enough to make me feel sick

Great hotel, sitting on the edge of Sefton Park.
Easy check in even though I was late getting down from Glasgow.
Hassan the hotel manager, WhatsApp me my room access key allowing me to go directly to my room without having to worry about the late check in.
Plenty of parking spaces and costs £5 for 24 hours, on par with parking in the city.
Hassan also upgraded my room to a lovely suit which was very much appreciated, roll top bath, large double shower, and a bed that could sleep a family.
Room and bathroom spotless.
If im back in the area I would have no hesitation in stopping in this hotel again.
A short walk from the hotel there are fabulous restaurants and bars to enjoy an evening out.
And then there is the park on your doorstep, well worth a stroll to walk off your dinner.

I stayed here twice in a week, with a great location across from Sefton park, close to the city centre for great access anywhere in the city. Great hotel, big rooms, Hassan was a great host very helpful from start to finish

Wedding noise meant we had to be moved room even though when i checked in i was assured we would not be disturbed by the noise. In reality our room was right over the wedding disco and the noise was awful.

Rooms were small but clean and well laid out with everything you need. The telephone didn’t work which wasn’t a problem. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good but a bit greasy and felt that the lake of self service let it down but overall was good.
My only issue was the other guests were so very noisy that kept us up all night the first night with no respect for other guest. I feel that there should be a quiet notice. This really spoilt out stay. And if the telephone was working we would have rang reception to complain.!

Decent for the price, easy parking
For the price this is a good find, bar was closing when we got there so limited in that respect, room was decent albeit a little dated, small bathroom. But very decent for the price

Peaceful spot
Friendly welcome - offered to carry bags. Faded elegance. Very quiet ( except for squeaky doors) . Great breakfast with great views. Just missing a garden and lounge.
