The location is great (within walking distance to most places in Crewe), and it's own own underground parking for those who want to drive (good for people in wheelchairs, as Crewe isn't flat). The building is obviously not built for wheelchair users in mind - it looks like a big 1960s/70s concrete behemoth, but IHG (I'm not going to say did their best to make it accessible [see about the room]) have made it more accessible. The entrance at the front are all stairs, but wheelchair users can roll into the underground parking area, where there's another entrance to the hotel with a ramp up that leads to a lift to all floors. Parking is quite reasonable at £4 per day, and the one bay in the car park was for charging an EV. Breakfast is bad - often just greasy small sausages or bacon, and some watery scrambled eggs. There are baps to make a breakfast bap, but these often get moved or not even put out at all. There's no cold meats or cheeses. There was a wooden box of drawers with small muffins in one, the middle draw was always empty, and the top draw had sliced bread. Though everything seemed to run out and wasn't replenished quickly, if at all. One day there was also hash browns, but not on any others. Oh, and there's the standard coffee machine, water (though I had to ask for it), and cereals. The accessible room wasn't good, either, One third of the room could only be reached through a gap too narrow for a wheelchair. The accessible bathroom was really quite bad. The sink was so small, it was barely big enough to wash your hands in, let alone your face. And the shower was completely inaccessible, so washing your face in there wasn't an option, either. The shower was up a big lip, had no grab rails, no fixed seat (there was a moveable stool outside the shower that the maids used to put clean towels on - maybe you were meant to use that as a shower chair?). The staff, however, were great, and ever so helpful...

酒店回复: Dear R0bW84, Thank you for selecting our Holiday Inn Express Crewe while visiting Crewe and for providing feedback about your experience. It's a pleasure having you as our guest. I am truly sorry you did not experience an exemplary stay due to our accessible rooms and our breakfast. This is certainly below our usual high standard of service. Please be certain that I have noted and forwarded your feedback for the management to improve. In the middle of your experience, I am glad our room's sleeping quality and our staff's service were still appreciated. Please grant us the opportunity to prove ourselves again. Best Regards, Ben W. Case Manager IHG Hotels and Resorts Service

Nice big room, comfortable beds and next door to MacDonalds. Limited choice of food for dinner but it worked fine for me. Quite a few of the group went to Mackie Ds. A bit out of the way. Breakfast was good but don’t go to late because nothing gets topped up.

Excellent short stay as part of a Caledonian coach package. Room was clean and spacious. Plenty of hot water. Tea and coffee making facilities and a hair dryer. Bed was really comfortable and quiet overnight. Staff were very nice . Breakfast was great . Coffee machine also did decaf but the coffee tasted a bit sweet . Bonus’s for me was that there’s a McDonald’s next door so I could grab a nice latte ! Evening meal was limited in choice but I had tomato and red pepper soup to start with a crusty roll. Then steak pie mushy peas and gravy and mash which was very tasty. Followed by a Victoria sponge cake which was a bit dry but ok. I don’t think the hotel normally serves evening meals but did for our coach party. The bar was small and didn’t have masses of choice but adequate choices for most tastes. I would happily stay here again. . It was excellent value for money.
