Arrived and checked in promptly. Facility is outdated with carpet staining and bubbling. Floor dirty. Smoke detector beeping in our room. Maintenance replaced battery however began beeping again in the middle of the night. Staff refused any adjustments at checkout.

The team at Candlewood Suites Virginia Beach Town Center deserves real credit for their outstanding customer service. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful. They made check-in smooth and were quick to address questions or requests throughout my stay.
That said, the property itself is in serious need of renovation. The furniture, flooring, and fixtures feel outdated and worn, and some areas of the hotel could use a deep cleaning. It’s clear that maintenance and updates haven’t kept pace with what guests expect from an IHG property.
One odd and inconvenient policy: basic kitchen appliances like toasters and blenders are locked up in the lobby, and you have to check them out. For an extended-stay hotel, where guests rely on those amenities, that’s a hassle and not guest-friendly.
If IHG invests in much-needed upgrades and refreshes the space, this hotel has the potential to be a great option—especially with such an excellent staff already in place. But until then, expect great service paired with a less-than-ideal facility.

I liked that fresh brewed coffee was available 24/7. The beds were comfortable and I loved having a kitchen with a large refrigerator.

I like that every thing was clean, our room had a kitchenette, dinning and living room also...staff was nice... We drove 6 hours and was able to check in early... Will recommend to my friends and family.

Hotel stay was average. Great location but the property is outdated. We had the loudest people above us till 11pm at night. Hotel did nothing about the noise. Bed was comfortable when we finally could sleep. Good location to Town Center but will not stay here again.

I thought the staff was really quite nice and helpful. Property was a good good standings and I didn’t like the way the door is when you come in with your luggage I thought it should’ve been in the middle with the bigger door other than that everything was really nice.
