When I got to hotel at 3:30 they did not have the room I reserved in October Had to take a room with king bed instead of a double bed room one night and could move to double next day was staying 3 nights. It was inconvenient. They only offered me a $50 credit for their mistake.

Calvin's stay
After staying at a number of Candlewoods i find eachone continues to go down hill. The hotels appears situp for a homeless shelter instead of a hotel. I was expecting more from stay there. I graded each Candlewood to the one i stayed in in Birmingham, Alabama, which is one of the best i have stayed in. I expecting every Candlewood to be the same.

The staff was awesome. However, the room wasn't ready, they were short staffed and there was underwear left from the last occupant. I believe I am owed some type of refund. A partial refund because the staff was gracious and tried their best. Angie was awesome

Everything was what I expected. While it didn’t bother me, it is fair to note that this location doesn’t have a pool. I thought it did, and then I checked in and realized it did not have one. This might make a difference for families. The building and rooms were clean. The kitchen was ready for use, grill area was great. The gym is small but pretty solid for a hotel. 10/10 highly recommend!

The check- in from the beginning was awful. Worst experience ever!. Front desk attendant bold face lied to me that I booked a king bed, when I clearly booked 2 double bed room. I chose this hotel because of the # of beds available and didn’t get it!
I could have booked any other king size room anywhere else for much cheaper, since I booked way in advance.
I showed the booking confirmation to prove it as well, clearly stating the 2 double bed room, but they had already sold my room to someone else, obviously.
When I asked for a manager, I was told there wasn’t one.
When I asked for a copy of the sheet that I signed at check in, I was told I cannot have it, it is company property, and against their policy.
After ******* called the hotel, front desk attendant proceeded to lie to the ******* customer service and said that we had booked a king room, and never made accommodations any better, even after ******* representative sent them confirmation again, with my 2 double beds booking.
The attendant offered us another room for $279/ night.
Coming to a hotel to check in and get this kind of awful service, while having to rush to a tournament, after the long drive from home, is unacceptable to say the least.
We've traveled all over Indiana and this was the worst experience ever!
We had nowhere else to go since the entire Fort Wayne was booked up. The 2 adults and 2 teenage boys had to make do with 1 bed.
The manager never talked to us the next day or even attempted to speak to us.

I am a corporate account guest at this Hotel. My team and crew stay here for extended stays. It was recently brought up in conversation that each person has been charged a different “incidental” fee at check in. Most of my coworkers stated they were charged $25. I was charged $75. I was also informed by my supervisor that per our corporate contract, we are not be charged out of pocket for such fees. I checked out of my room on 1/21/25, I was informed the $75 charge would be released upon check out. Today is 1/30/25 and I have not received the reversal and my bank has no record of it. I contacted the hotel this morning to inquire about why it has not been received. The front desk agent I spoke with met me with hostility, rudeness, was loud on the phone and hung up on me numerous times when I asked for her name. She refused to take my information for management to contact me and told me no manager would be in today. When I asked about why I was charged more than other guests in my team, she stated they can charge what they feel like charging at checkin. Some are $10, $25 or what they see fit. These were her words, not mine. I realized then she was the agent that checked me in, she is an African American woman. I then asked her again, why was I (the only AA male in my crew) charged more than anyone else at check in. And she restated they charge what they feel like charging. I took this as racial profiling and unfair business practices by making assumptions based on appearance. I called back only to be hung up on and told when I asked for the persons name I was speaking with was told “ I told you that already!” I decided to write this review and post on all media outlets to make the public aware to book with caution and not to expect courtesy or professionalism when dealing with the front desk staff. they will gate keep from management, and if this is a management practice, they are avoiding accountability for their business practices.

Exceeded my expectations. For the most part clean some areas on floor a little dirty. Staff person who checked us in was very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this hotel.
