The Front Desk Agent that checked you in is extremely new to the position and because of that I believe they struggled to accurately communicate the situation. While it is true we were short-staffed in housekeeping the reason you couldn't be moved to a different room is because we were sold out of double queen rooms that night. They should have called a manager being telling you the ice machine could be unplugged, because then they would have never said that. Unplugging one of our ice machines isn't an option because we only have 4 in the entire building. Our Maintenance department made serval attempts to speak with the driver of the semi to get them to move to a different part of the parking lot. I do apologize that they didn't move like they were instructed to do. Normally we can't discount 3rd party reservations but I pulled up your specific reservation and saw that it was your personal card that we charged. I refunded 15% of the room rate back to your visa ending in 1526 today. It will take 5-7 business days to show up in your bank account. I'm truly sorry for the issues during your stay. I hope you will consider staying with us again.

In our system it shows you booked two separate reservations and that ******* didn't call the hotel to cancel your reservation until 10:50 PM on the night of said reservation. I hope you would understand by that time it is really no possible for us to just cancel the reservation and refund the money. We held that room all day for you believing you would be using the room. We wouldn't be able to sell the room to anyone else because it was held all day. Because of that a refund would not be possible. I'm not sure if you attempted to call the hotel at the same time but I was never given any message that someone was trying to reach me. For that I am truly sorry. I will be speaking to the front desk staff on the importance of delivering messages who wish to speak with me. I work monday through fridays 8:30 to 4:30 if you wish to speak with me I'd be more than happy to talk with you.
