The staff at this Holiday Inn were very kind and accommodating. The place was beautiful, if I had to complain about something, id say the shower curtains smelled of mold and the tub was slightly ratty, but the decent beds and view made up for it. Breakfast is paid, so little different than most holiday inns that offer free breakfast, some of the cups were dirty, but all in all, not bad for the price I think.

There was no hot water due to burst pipe. We should have been informed at check in. When we discovered it we were told a crew was there "working on it" and it "should" be fixed that evening or night. The desk staff were not at fault for the burst pipe but should have been more informative and offered an option to move to another hotel.

Staff was very friendly. The room itself was pretty clean except by the window where there were at least 5 dead flies. Breakfast was really good. The room with the pool was very cold inside with it being attached the the outside pool. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

The beds were fine. We had issues with the toilet not flushing properly from when we checked in. As it goes for using the bathroom, the morning after checking in, the toilet wouldn’t flush. We called the front desk and asked for maintenance or plumbing to come fix it while we were out for the day. 12 hours later we get back, and the toilet still doesn’t work and no one came to fix it. We went down to the front desk to ask if someone could come and restated we called this in at 10am and it is after 10pm and we can’t use our toilet… We were met with defensive avoidance from Taesha at the front desk. We couldn’t change rooms because they were full but the only compensation we were offered was complimentary breakfast passes- which felt oxymoronic considering we could not properly use our bathroom for what comes after eating. She also only offered “compensation” to receive the points I should’ve received for originally booking. It felt like there was no compensation or appropriate accommodation for this matter.

My fiancé spent the next 20mins doing his own tinkering and God knows what he had to do in there that required multiple washes and showers to get it to function. What should’ve been a fun adventurous and relaxing stay for our weekend, we were left feeling uncomfortable and disappointed.

4 Nights in Staunton

Clean Property, excellent check-in super staff, especially in the hotel restaurant lounge area. Staff seems to be a little over work, but works completely as a team which makes that issue not issue for the customer you can tell they’re tired. Rooms are very clean. Parking is great close to the interstate. The only thing I would have to say is the hotel is a little worn out. Needs to update. We would stay there again

We paid extra for the breakfast buffet for the 3 mornings we would be there. It was terrible. They are so short staffed that it was 15-20 minutes before the food on the buffet was replaced. I have had better continental breakfast at far cheaper hotels. Our second morning we actually left without eating breakfast because there was no food and it seemed not to be a priority to replace it. Our third morning it was a little better, but the biscuits were cold, the gravy was clumpy, and the french toast was reheated, frozen french toast. And nothing was really hot. It was luke warm at best. Save yourselves the money and try Kathy's restaurant. They are fast, food was good and hot. The room itself was clean, but water stains on ceiling tiles were spray painted, wall paper was peeling in places, the elevator was sqeaky and a little unnerving. Most of the staff we interacted with was pleasant and tried to remedy the breakfast situation, but everything else was beyond their control. If you are staying just a night or two, you'll be fine, any longer and I would book elsewhere.

Missed the mark

The cook didn’t show up so breakfast was canceled. The clerk at the front desk was very professional, but appeared to be the only employee in the entire hotel, because truly anyone could set out milk, juice, cereal boxes, muffins, bread, etc. The manager was not there. It appeared nobody was there but this poor clerk at the front desk. I had booked this hotel specifically because it included breakfast and that was going to be so convenient for group — 2 adults, 3 kids, 2 rooms. So that was frustrating. Otherwise, the hotel was fine — dated and showing some age but clean.

Great staff. Food in the restaurant was a great. We were able to check in early since our room was already available, although when we came down for breakfast we found out that their cook didn't show up so no breakfast. It happens, we did ask if we can get something from their store instead in lieu of the missing breakfast and they agreed.
