The problems with the room made it feel kind of like camping, which I don't mind, but I want to know ahead of time and prefer to pay less for. There were three things that made this less than a 5 star rating. 1.The toilet would not actually flush. When flushed, the water would go to almost the top of the bowl but without overflowing, and then very slowly (about an hour to go down) go back to the preflush level, but the toilet paper never went down. 2.The carpets were vacuumed, but still looked filthy. I wouldn't let my husband go around in just his socks. 3. The fabric chair arms were disgusting. I was afraid to touch them. I do not think the last two had anything to do with the staff, but with the leadership not providing the infrastructure needed to keep things in great shape.
Positives: Any solid surface, or linens that could be cleaned were spotless. I could tell by the employees that the property manager is great and works at hiring, training, and retaining truly customer service oriented staff. This is amazing considering what appeared to be the meager resources they have to work with. Everyone was super polite and professional. The Breakfast was fantastic. You could really tell that someone took the care and time to properly prepare the limited ingredients they were given to produce a truly lovely product. Also, the front desk wrote down what was a problem and was very courteous and professional when i let them know what the problems were.

Very friendly people! The room was very clean and the breakfast was very good and a great selection! It was located very close to everything we wanted to do.

Attendant was not very friendly. No carts were available for our luggage. Attendant said she would find one and did not. Was told the invoice would be emailed to me and never received it.

No cups so i could take meds in the room. Had put on my sleeping cloths and ready for bed. Went to take my meds and not a single cup in the room. Had to get dressed again and go to lobby just to get a cup. No coffee maker in the room. I want coffe as soon as i get up. Went down to lobby to get coffee and lots of funny looks cause i was still in my sleeping cloths. Wont stay here again.

The people were friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. The only thing I noticed that made me give it a not perfect score on cleanliness is there were dirty footprints and dried stuff on the floor of the elevator. I will be booking again here for a date in December.

Great place to stay!
Every time we've gone to Orange Beach we've stopped here going and coming from Orange Beach. This time we only stopped on our way back because they had a band competition in town and was booked so we had to stay at another location in Tupelo and sorry we did. Every employee I have dealt with has been very friendly, very professional, and always helpful. Some places you go to year after year you see it go down in quality but the years I've been staying here, the place looks as good as the first time I stayed there and will continue to stay when traveling that direction!

Someone was at the desk most of the time, unlike other places where you must ring a bell! All was well explained & quickly. The room was large & clean. My only issue was the elevator smelled of cigarette smoke.
