Where in the world world can we get the opportunity to go and stay in a 400 year old fort that offers all the modern amenities and the most amazing organic fresh food cooked to your individual tastes. The rooms are small as they are the original old rooms of the fort but on entering one is surprised by the modern facilities that the architects have cleverly blended in making them super comfortable. The decor and ambiance is true to its heritage and for our stay it was easy to pretend that we were actually royalty. The highlight is the location, the views and the friendly staff and villagers. Breath taking scenery look up and you see towering mountains and around you gushing streams and translucent lakes. Once here the must do trip is the drive to the Deosai Plains, one of the highest plains in the world the drive as well as the actual place is right out of the pages of National Geographic. Truly a once in a life time experience and a must do for any one who loves travelling and seeing the world!

Beautiful location overlooking a river and surrounded by mountains. Cherry tree orchard on the garden and views everywhere. Excellent food and service. Rooms are so cute and comfortable especially the balcony area. Must stay if visiting Shigar.

Our 3rd time here…just such a unique and lovely place to stay. We will be back in October with 4 extra guests. Just so lovely.

Very beautiful There is no comparison with any other Green ambience, water fall, and for all are amazing Staff is very professional, friendly, and cooperative Food is perfect If you want to book the rooms, you must reserve your booking in advance at least one month before reaching Highly recommended for tourists who love nature, history, and beauty

This is the second Serena property on our trip. I was truly amazed by the restoration of the fort and conversion into a hotel. There are no lifts. You will need to walk up the stairs like they did centuries ago. The rooms and showers are all modern but the retained some of the old furniture to give an authentic look and feel. Buffet breakfast was excellent. It is another property I will return to when I visit this place again.

I recently stayed at Serena Fort Hotel in Skardu with our family, and our experience was truly memorable. The restaurant offered a delightful array of local and international cuisines, and we thoroughly enjoyed each meal. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional.

I'm actually rating the fort itself rather than the hotel. The fort is well preserved and is very nice to visit with a knowledgeable guide. The structure and interior has been well preserved. We dined in the garden of the fort for lunch and the food served was very good and the setting great.
