Do not stay here unless you are prepared to fight for your money weeks after you leave. This property has a systemic "glitch" where they capture your $100 incidental deposit as a finalized sale days after you check out, then refuse to return it. I checked out on 10/25 with a $0 balance folio. On 10/27, the hotel successfully captured and posted a $100 charge to my card. When confronted, management provided a receipt from 10/25 claiming the funds were "released." A receipt from the 25th cannot account for a charge that was taken on the 27th. They are "releasing" holds on the wrong cards while keeping the cash they took from the check-in cards. I filed a complaints with the BBB and state of VA. Hotel management will not respond to emails or phone calls. Avoid avoid avoid!

Made a reservation online with a card. Requested to pay in cash upon arrival, was required to pay a $100 deposit in addition to the room rate. Checked out next morning, no one available at the desk. Waited several minutes. Called from my cell phone. No one ever showed up. Ended up having to leave for an appointment without my cash deposit. To date, I have called several times requesting my deposit and no one has bothered to call back. Room was also dirty, bathtub had dirt in it. Breakfast was ok. Would not recommend. Other nicer hotels in area.

We are seniors and i assure you that this is all true. After looking at the photos of this hotel, We made a reservation with Choice Hotel Whete we ate Gold Members. We travel a lot. But after looking at reviews on several websites we were concerned. We had 1 day to be able to cancel. Complaints included: no one at front desk, cold pool, bugs, lack of towels, hot tub and elevator not working. So I tried for over 5 hours to call them to clarify the complaints - in hopes they would assure me that repairs had been made. I finally called corporate to make sure they were in business. They gave me the email for manager. I emailed and continued to try to get someone to answer phone in case we decided to cx. When the lady finally answered the phone I told her my concerns about what we had read. # 1 being the lack of someone at front desk. She told me they were busy doing housekeeping and other things. I asked her if the elevator and hot tub were working. I asked her the temperature of the pool [80 degrees ! Which does not meet arthritis foundation], I asked if they had eggs, Sausage, or waffles for breakfast ( no eggs or sausage). She became very agitated at my questions and that I was keeping her too long. She said, I will cx your reservation. I told her I didn't want to. She said it again, I'll cx it for you. I told her I know how to cx if i decide to. I just want you to assure me that the complaints were not true or had been addressed. She then said, " I cx'd your reservation. You should stay home. I' m done talking to you and I'm hanging up" And she hung up. I immediately called corporate back and filed a formal complaint and that this women should not be in the hospitality business. We told corporate to put us back at Quality Inn in Christiansburg where the staff were very nice, always available, clean, heated pool, nice breakfast. We ate at Sharkeys. Great 🍔 and Daily specials.

This is an understated traditional and elegant hotel. We were incredibly well received on very short notice. Breakfast was a nice selection of toast, bagels, waffles or cereal with actual dairy products. The eating area has a country kitchen restaurant feel. Mike was an exceptional host at checkout. Clean. Well maintained. Excellent value.

We've stayed here before. For 1 night, it's perfectly fine, and that's all we needed. Overall, the hotel does need an upgrade. Beds were quite comfy, and bathrooms were clean. Had a few minor issues here and there, but staff was always friendly and helpful. In fact, the staff was the best part - very nice!

The hotel service was terrible. We waited for 10-15 minutes for the girl at the desk to show up to check us in. We had no towels. They charged my wife’s credit card 5 times and when she finally got someone to answer the phone after several attempts,they said they were charging us for stealing the towels that were never in the room. I would definitely not recommend this hotel because the hotel wasn’t very nice, the service was awful and the fact of being accused of being a thief.
