Broken ice machines, trash in the ice bucket from another person's previous stay, not sure if the sheets are clean as they were pulled up like someone was in the bed, no toilet paper. I've stayed in "lower end" hotels that were better maintained. Staff not too willing to assist. Would definitely stay somewhere else.

We have stayed there many times. It is always clean. The Staff is always friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious.

The room was exceptionally clean, staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was filling and wait staff super friendly.

First time in Mettawa
A/C kept room nice and cool. Breakfast was great. Sundries were kinda expensive. Conveniently located off highway and near Lake Forest.
