We had an extremely welcoming and helpful young lady at the desk Friday evening. On Saturday at around 5pm after a day at the beach, my teenage daughter was taking a shower while I enjoyed the nature around the hotel. She called me while showering and said that someone was banging on the door and entered the room. It happened 2 more times. I ran to the room in a panic. It was a young man that worked the front desk that had given her towels earlier and greeted me as I walked out the front entrance. He said he had called the room twice and told me that I could not have the scented candle lit that I brought with me. I blew it out and mentioned that I had a teenager showering. I did not know that I wasn't allowed a candle. I put it away. After recovering from my panic attack, we went out. At 9pm, the young man from the desk called me to ask me if I had my candle lit. We weren't in the room. I said no and to please leave us alone about the candle. I did what I was asked. We came back to the hotel to go to sleep. At about 11pm, the young man was at our room with the fire department to see if we lit the candle again. That a sensor was going off. The firemen found no issues and the detector was working properly. When we woke up in the morning, we cleaned our room so we could leave. I went to the desk to tell them about a broken toilet flusher and they were discussing the incident. I had a receipt, then I got home to find a new receipt with a $125 smoking charge. Please pick up garbage

Not a pleasant extended stay. The rooms have small garbage cans. The cleaning policy is garbage pick up every 3 days. When asked for pick up, we were handed an outdoor garbage bag to hold our 3 days of garbage in our room. Quiet unpleasant.

Wonderful experience.

Quick overnight stay on a road trip but we are very pleased with our stay. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and the breakfast was amazing.
