Excellent stay for 2 nights as a base to mooch about, eat tasty foods, drink and relax. Staff were brilliant and super friendly, and a nod the manager too for being very observant and attentive (to needs we didn’t know we had!). Nice and warm and creaky where you’d expect it. Shower was a disappointing dribble (always annoys me), but the separate jacuzzi bath was great. Dining was excellent, no faults, delicious and assuming mostly local produce, especially the seafood, mostly Loch Fyne which you are looking at! Local walks up to Dùn na Cuaiche well worth it if the weather’s fine (or Fyne!). Great base to explore the rest of the West if you want to, or just chill if you need to (we did, and we did!).

We loved The George hotel for our quick one night visit. Great food and pubs and the live music was awesome. Large bathrooms and comfortable bedding.

Extremely comfortable stay.
Loved it. Beautiful hotel, with an even amazing staff. Everyone who helped us was genuinely kind. And our 20 month old basked in the attention of all the “aunties” - staff was helpful in managing our requests. Our room was a lot more spacious than we were expecting which we loved!
My only comments for improvement were regarding the WiFi- it was spotty and I gave up using it after a while. Also the hot water reserve is quite low and we barely add any hot water in our unit. It warmed up but only after running the shower for quite sometime which I found wasteful.

Charming but needs some upkeep
The George was very charming. Very nice location. Great restaurant and bar. Only problems. The bathroom and room looked like it had not been occupied in a while. Bugs on the bathroom floor and room smelled dusty. The was a power outage due to a storm. They staff tried to do their best. No WiFi either. So bummer but some things can’t be helped.

Amazing hotel, stunning room and exceedingly friendly staff working in this family run hotel. The food was delicious seafood caught in loch fyne and couldn't have been fresher. Overall a wonderful stay and would return there again.
