Was undergoing construction, parking was hard to get to, let alone fine being behind another business.

Only after booking 2 nights at $170+/night (including tax & fees) were we advised that the property was under renovation - the lobby, pool, and fitness facility were closed. There was plenty of parking, because only a very limited number of rooms were made available for guests, and there was a very limited staff. Had we known of these issues, we would never have booked. After renovations are complete, it has the potential to be a fine facility, but we'll never know. Next trip to Beaufort, we'll be staying elsewhere.

Everything went will except for one problem. The room had a strong mildew smell. It smelled like perhaps the carpet or something was left wet and did thoroughly dry.I mentioned it to the staff. I was told they’d take care of it. Came back later in the day and noticed it was still there. We were checking out the next morning so I just left it. I did mention at the front desk and they told me that whoever went in said they didn’t think it smelled. I said thank you and left.

I loved everything about the property, including the big windows and views of all the waterways! I can’t wait to see the hotel when the construction is done! We’ll definitely be back. One exception… We woke up to two nearly dead roaches in the bathroom. We tried to catch them, but they went under the beds. My husband did tell the front desk clerk

The room was very nice, spacious. The staff was pleasant & helpful with our request.
The bad, the lobby was being remodeled, no entry, needed to use a side entrance which was carpeted, made for rolling your luggage a little difficult. The distance to the
elevator was further. Hard for elderly & handicapped folks. Two elevators, only one was operating. Pool was close being re-modeled,computor was closed.not available.

The hotel was under construction which was not listed on the website. Spoke to a few other people in the area that said the hotel has been under construction for well over a year. Would not have stayed there if I had known. The room was also dirty when we stayed. The microwave had dried on crusty stuff inside from a previous guests stay. There was a dead cockroach by the air conditioner unit. The paint was chipping on the wall. The window shade chain was broken and coming out of the wall. The pull out couch had dirty sheets still on it from a last guests stay. The bathroom tub doesn't drain properly so when you shower you're standing in ankle deep water the whole time. The soap dispenser isn't fully secured and comes right out of the wall so the soap could be tampered with. The staff were friendly at least. Would not stay here again because of lack of cleanliness and construction. They have a restaurant in the hotel but didn't feel comfortable eating there. If the room was dirty, what does their kitchen look like. The view from our room was very pretty at least. The cubbies by the window at the end of the hall way have trash in there. Also spoke with a few other guests that were staying there that also said they were unhappy with their stay. Would have liked to switch to a different hotel but my room was not refundable when I got there so had to suck it up so I didn't lose out on my over $400. Other guests beware of staying here.

False advertising.
The lobby was jam packed with some card show the hotel was under renovation so the amenities such as pool spa exercise room and check in desk were not available but was not mentioned at the time of booking the room. When I asked about it I was told we could use an alternate sister hotel if we checked with the front desk and they had availability. The hotel bar was make shift and the noise was not conducive to relaxing. Had we been told this up front we would have found other accommodations. The only thing that was true to the advertising was the price. Also by reading the reviews this has been going on for a long while so they had the time to tell us but chose not to. I will not stay there again.
