Everything was very clean and the front desk person was very pleasant and the girl who checked us out. She had made fresh coffee and offered us some as we couldn't stay for breakfast. She also offered me a receipt, which i so appreciated.

The pool was great, but the best thing about the Holiday Inn Express in Freeport is the staff, especially a night staff front desk person named Natalia. She is the world's most helpful person and has helped me with many reservations before at this hotel.

The gentleman that checked us in was less than friendly. Seemed to have issues with the computer system and then my credit card was declined. There was no issue anywhere else with my card and I made several purchases the 3 days we were in the area shopping.

Room was clean, staff were friendly - for the price a good spot to stay. The traffic on 295 can be loud but expected for a hotel along an interstate.
