Avoid at all costs This travelodge has a lovely member of staff however.. if you get past the people who stand outside smoking then the awful corridor smells to your room. Nice to chose your rooms now so glad we were at the end of corridor.. however one room we booked wasn’t available. Walked in to our room to a bed that looked like it hadn’t fresh sheets on looked and basically nothing to protect the mattress. The lovely lady on reception gave me 3 rooms keys we explored all and all were the same. It needs a good clean mattress protectors proper heaters I was freezing all night. The shower never got warm evening or morning.

Literally mid shower and not soap in the dispenser, open it up and it’s literally covered in mould… tried the other hand soap and the same… so I had to go without… on checking out the dispenser on reception with antibacterial soap in was also empty and no one on reception. In the feedback from I was asked if I raised with member of staff, not whilst I’m mid shower, no!

Lovely room and facilities, fantastic knowledgeable attentive staff, however car park is strewn with litter and very dark at night! Didn't affect our stay though.

Car park was to dark, on first entering looked nice with a friendly reception. while going to room doors were stiff to open which I feel elderly people would struggle with, once we got to the room which was easy enough to find it looked nice but looking a little closer it was very dusty and not very clean. Bed was comfortable and there was no noise. good for a cheap stay near cribs

I was in this store in 30th October 2025 with my 22 year old son. I’m 56. We picked up a couple of table knives and forks and a sieve for his new flat. When we got to the cash desk the assistant asked for proof of age id from my son as he looked under 25. It took me a minute to understand it was because we were buying table knives. I politely explained that I was buying them so it was irrelevant to ask for proof of age. At that point the other woman on the cash desk, who was busy serving someone else, starting shouting aggressively in our direction about store policy etc etc and how they had to ask for proof of age. ‘But I’m buying them though’ I said and to try and diffuse the situation I said ‘I don’t think you could do much damage with a table knife’ anyway. ‘Oh you’d be surprised!’ she yelled and carried on berating us with store policy in a very hostile manner. The woman who was actually serving us was very embarrassed, she went bright red, while my son and I were made to feel extremely uncomfortable. My son is tall, with black hair and tattoos, he looks like a rock star. I am convinced we were judged on his look and what we were wearing. John Lewis - sort out your customer service! We left immediately.

Rooms are very noisy (constant doors slamming) and the carpark is concerningly dark at night. Reception staff were friendly enough so I can't fault the service. The room itself was very dated and not very clean. Breakfast box was awful - warm milk and cornflakes. I am Bristol based a lot for work and the Premier inn was full so was put here. Huge difference between the two. I will not be returning.

Stayed here whilst at a conference as the hotels within the centre's prices were horribly inflated. Nice hotel, staff very welcoming and room had everything I need, just looked like all of the carpet hadn't been hoovered.
